The Dollhouse Book by Stephanie Finnegan (1999)

This book is inviting upon first sight with its house-shaped cover and enchanting center-opening style. The book takes one on a tour of many different dollhouses from the comfort of one's own home. It's a walk through history and inspires one to look at dollhouses in new and varied ways. Not only does "The Dollhouse Book" offer brilliant photographs, but it also tells true stories of owners and collectors of today and long ago. I personally own just about every book ever published about dollhouses, and this is one of the best and most unique. I decided to buy it because it covered some houses I hadn't read about before, and it was offered at a wonderful price. If one can only have a few books about miniatures, this is one to obtain as it provides a good, well-rounded exposure to the tiny world of dollhouses. It's a treasure for all ages to enjoy; my children and I equally enjoy its pages.
