| Synopsis Pursah and Arten are two intra-dimensional spirit beings who visited Gary Renard in the early 1990s and, over the course of 17 visits, instructed him about the nature of God and the "disappearance" of the book’s title. Presented in interview form, this general, meat-and-potatoes metaphysics should attract those who come to modern spirituality with a slightly jaundiced perspective and a resistance to the more flowery styles of some writers. Pursah and Arten present what amounts to an outline for basic spiritual principles for recovery, self-love, self-transcendence, and the attainment of a ceaseless sense of orgasmic ecstasy that is existence on the plane we think of as "heaven." By bringing about the "disappearance of the universe," or the transcendence of space and time, this ecstasy will become the spiritual condition of all life. The philosophies presented are based on the metaphysical studies of A COURSE IN MIRACLES, and this book should find a welcome readership with students of that seminal work.

I was never a religious person, but a curious person about what Life was all about. This book challenges your Mind, Spirit, and Being. It also is an introduction to "A Course in Miracles". What a fantastic venture this is! I feel that I have really found some profound answers to a lot of the questions I had throughout my life. It is now October 22, 2007, and the book has not been received by my daughter. If there are problems delivering the book I should be made aware of it so I can deal with the county of Alameda corrections agents. I need to know why it hasn't arrived at this point in time. The Disappearance of the Universe is clearly one of the most important books to me in spiritual growth. To me, it is an aide to A Course in Miracles, which I never heard of before. I started to read ACIM, and looked back, and realized how important The Disappearance of the Universe is as an introduction, a teaching aide, to ACIM.
