I believe that this book is one of the must-haves for quick referencing. As mentioned in other reviews, it is a bit oversimplified, however, with the size of the book that is to be expected. Nonetheless, the text is concise and thorough. The photographs are most helpful for the purpose of identification. It is an excellent book to have especially for those who are being introduced to crystal healing.
For each crystal the pages contain the attributes of the crystal, healing properties at each of the different levels (psychologically, mentally, emotionally), the healing properties, and best placement and position for the stones.
The pages also reference the physical attributes: color, appearance, rarity, and from which countries the stones are primarily located or mined. There are other books out there that are more detailed, but because of this book's easy referencing and the photographs and other information included, I believe that anyone doing crystal healing should have this as a part of their library.

This book I found extremely imformative and an easy to use book for reference. The illistration is excellent with clear pictures, descriptions and detailed properties of crystals/ gems you are interested in. Excellent book verses all other crystal/gem stones books I've seen/ read. This one is the best!

CRYSTAL BIBLEI purchased this book for my 8 year old grandson who is very interested in rocks, crystals and gemstones. The book is very informative with beautiful illustrations. I would highly recommend this book for those of all ages.

The Crystal Bible has the most in-depth information on crystals that I have read. This book is thorough and comprehensive, the information and the photographs are exquisite!
Some of metaphysical information is contrary to information I have read prior to this book, but I am not an expert on metaphysical information, it’s difficult for me to say which opinion is right, if there is a right. I highly recommend this book for its comprehensive information and for the great photos… Which are the best I have seen in any book on minerals or crystals, to date.
I feel if someone were practicing metaphysics it would be wise to read several books on this subject to get a wider source of information before they make their own judgments on what they feel their truths to be.

I recently went to a Medium/Tarot Card Reader and she suggested certain gems/stones to buy. I couldn't remember all the reason why and this book explains their energy and meanings. Recommend to others.

The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall (2003)This is a great intoductory book. It is so easy to reference a particular crystal. I love the size and the pages are thicker than most books. The pictures are real photos, not a drawing or sketch. Well written, well layed out. I wish the author would have information about how to clear and cleanse each crystal. Some crystls cannot be placed in sea salt water and some can. Being a beginner collector I don't have this knowlede. I rate this book an A- only because of the lack of info about the care and cleaning/clearing of crystals. Excellent book otherwise.

Excellent book on Crystals and Stones. Includes basic info on how they are formed, cleansing, care, etc. followed by a crystal directory. Each crystal described comes with pictures of it in raw and polished forms. It describes its attributes, healing properties, and position. If the crystal has more than one form, such as jasper, it lists the different types. A must for all those that are into crystals or are considering getting into them.

Review for The Crystal Bible by Judy HallI purchased this book two weeks ago. As for me I'm very satisfied with it. As a beginner I needed to find a book that has all the info written in an easy style.
You can find over 200 Crystals and their pictures, description of colors, forms and a source PLUS all the attributes, healing powers, the best positioning, etc.
I'm sure this is one of the best "Crystal" books for beginners.

I love this book. It is full of clear color photos of each crystal along with loads of detailed information. I found it to be very user friendly to both beginners and to those who have studied crystals for quite a while. This book is easy to read and easy to understand. I bought this book because I make handcrafted jewelry and wanted info on the history of the beads with which I was working. The book has been helpful with many of my materials; not so helpful with others. The pictures are beautiful.

My daughter got me interested in crystals and has this book. It is an excellent resource, very well done and easy to understand and use.
