The Complete Medicinal Herbal by Penelope Ody (1993, Hardcover)

I fell in love with the book when I first saw it being auctioned. It was the perfect gift for my daughter Laurie. Laurie is quite a naturalist,she would perfer to collect her own herbs and make her lotions, medicines, and etc. When she's not nurturing her gardens she is enjoying her walks and finding God's gifts in nature to make creations with. It is always fun to find books that can make the people you love happy. Thanks for giving up a treasure.I have looked long and hard for a book like this.

Good reference book with excellent pictures and well organized information on the page with the picture of the herb in various forms.

This book is excellent when beginning exploring on natural herbs. It tells u all about the plant and defines well the various usage and history. Great color photos give an image of the herb for easier identification. This book is an asset to those who want to know about medicinal herbs.

I bought two of the same books, listed as very good. I was a little disappointed in one of them because when I opened it it appears as though it has spinal damage. It looks like someone laid it face down while it was open to mark a spot, then laid something heavy on top of it, causing damage.
Contents of the book is very informative and easy to use. I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in herbal information. I will be looking into other books by Penelope Ody

This book is a hard find as it is, but to find one in great condition even if used was great. The book will be put to good use!

This book is great! It gives a very simple, but informative background and history of herbal medicine. The content is very helpful and makes the introduction to holistic medicine very pleasant.

I had gotten this book as a gift, and loved it. I loaned it to a friend, and she liked it as well because it took her a long time to return it.So I ordered one for her as a gift.
The book has beautiful illustrations, and very easy to read instructions for making herbal recipes for healing. It explains in great detail all of the herbs and their medicinal qualities. A great handbook for reference purposes.
