Movie true to C.S. LewisThis production captures the essence of Lewis's Chronicles. Telling the story of four English children temporarily placed in a safer environment to get away from German bombing only to find themselves fighting to save the citizens and kingdom of Narnia. The story of sacrifice and redemption is not left out; Aslan sacrifices his life in order to redeem Edmond's. It is symbolic of a GREATER love and sacrifice.
Watching it on Blu-ray was a treat for my eyes -- such vivid detail. I highly recommend both the Blu-ray and the movie. It is great family entertainment and a positive way to stimulate family discussion about attributes such as love, courage, and forgiveness.
Don't wait to see any other future movies from the Chronicles -- read the books. You won't be disappointed. I also recommend reading the "Guide to Narnia" as a supplement.
