The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Cookbook by Winston Groom (1994, Hardcover)

This cook book is a WONDERFUL recipe book for shrimp. I would reccomend it for anybody who likes to eat and cook shrimp. I have personally made about half of the recipes in this book. I find it very easy to follow whether you cook regularly or occasionally. The recipes are tried and true. They are as wonderful as the movie that inspired the cook book. Shrimp is very easy to cook. This book opens up a new world in ways to enjoy shrimp. Another good thing is that you don't have to buy fancy and expensive ingredients to make any of the recipes. All the ingredients are quite common to already have on hand in the kitchen. There are also ALOT of crowd pleasing recipes. So everyone can have something they like. What are you waitng for?Stop reading this! BUY THE BOOK and a few pounds of shrimp. Throw the newspaper over the table and PIG OUT! Enjoy! Michael!

The book was in like new condition and I noticed that with a few minutes left in the auction there were no bids. At $.99 it was a great bargain.

Like is like a box of Chocolates.....you never know what your gonna get. This book is great. I recommend anyone that loves shrimp and loved the Forrest Gump movie to get this book. When I opened the book and read it, it took me right back into the movie, and was quite a delight. Knowing that this truthly simple book was very easy to read, you could still hear Forrest talking as you read each word. It was truthly and utterly a delight. The recipes are wonderful, favorful, and simple. This nice book brings a smile to my face, and it could yours as well.

I really can't review this book too much, as I bought it for a friend, and don't have it. But from what I saw, it looked good. If you like shrimp, and want to cook it different ways, this would be the book for you.

Not enough pictures of the recipes. The pictures that are in it tell you to go to another page for the recipe. I want to see the picture next to the recipe! Lots of them......

This was a gift that someone realy wanted and did not know how to obtain!
It was a Birthday gift , she was very surprised and did not think that the book was available.

I Hope it tastes as good when I attempt to prepare each dish, as it does when you are in the restaurant!

I found the book at a friends house and I started to view the dishes in the book. I thought to my self, hmm I'm not a cook but with these guideline and recipes I could make my wife very happy. I will asked her to pick 3 and I will then practice and make myself a cook and hopefully recieve wonderful reviews from her and our friends.

Shrimp is not the only flavour within this wonderful little book. Winston Groom and his Forrest Gump character are also intermingled throughout. From the forward by Forrest of how this book came about through to quotes from the movie throughout, this little book is a good ol' southern delight and a wonderful addition to any cook book collection.

Don't buy this cook book if you are looking for the Bubba Gump garlic shrimp recipe. There is one for kabobs, but not for the luscious appetizer they serve. We have a Bubba Gump’s here in Colorado at Breckenridge. That is at least 3.5 hours from where I live. Anyway I had this delicious dish in Charleston S.C. three years ago and the taste still lingers on my tongue. The wife and the (2) girls loved it as well.

Some of the recipes aren’t bad at all. As a matter of fact, pretty good.

I made one of the recipes in this book and served it to one of my friends. He liked it so much he not only wanted the recipe but the whole book. I order it for him. Every recipe I have made from this book has been delicious

I saw this book by the stove at my Aunt's house. I skimmed though it and loved the simple recipes. My book is now parked near my stove and every once in a while I will pick a new recipe to try. So far... so good. I have no complaints at all.

THIS BOOK IS VERY WELL DONE. THOUGH IT'S RELATIVELY SMALL (108 pgs.) IT'S VERY COMPREHENSIVE ON THE SUBJECT OF SHRIMP. THERE IS A WIDE VARIETY OF RECIPES. IF YOU LOVE SHRIMP, YOU WILL THROUGHLY ENJOY THE RECIPES FOND HERE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
