Reviews Review created: 05/08/08 by: 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. The photographs were excellent. This is a good book for someone just beginning jewelry designing or pursuing an interest in beads. An informative guide on beads and their history. The book is ok for a beginner to understand what the bead names are but that was about it. I think they should of put a couple more beginning projects in there. I had borrowed this book from a friend and decided that I wanted one of my own. I expecially like the beading ideas provided in the book. However, some of the beading directions are a little difficult to understand for the novice beader as compared to other beading books. This book also provides suggestions when using different colors, such as blue, pastels, reds, etc. It also provides ideas for using different bead shapes. I would recommend this book for someone looking for design ideas. Review ID: 10000000004782263 Was this review helpful? It is a must have for new beaders and a great refresher for the experienced. Review ID: 10000000002595475 Was this review helpful? This is not a project or technique book, more of a history or bead collector book. It could be more thorough on what it covers, but the items it does contain are well done.
