I liked the book after I got to see it. It does have a lot of recipes in it for losing weight. It has soups, sandwiches, main course, desserts, dips, salad dressings, and different things. It includes the calories, fats, etc. They seem to be down to earth where a person would actually be able to try the recipe. It doesn't have so many odd things in it using stuff you really wouldn't normally cook with. My son loved it. I bought it for a present for him and he really was excited. He is a middle aged guy. I can't think of anything that I disliked about it. I think it was very good. Maybe not excellent but pretty good.
I purchased the cookbook to give me ideas and recipes for low fat - high taste foods. I have looked thru some of the recipes and they seem to be easy, convenient, and tasty. I would highly recommend it for someone who is on a weight loss or control program. I am also diabetic so I like the natural sweets that are in the book.
This is an excellent book. Very simple recipes and items you normally have in your kitchen. I have tried several and they are easy to make. I got this book to loose weight and also to eat healthy. Give it a try and I'm sure you will say the same thing. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this book a 10.
I bought this book looking for healthy recipies that I knew were low in calories and fat. It was full of simple, healthy meals, snacks, desserts, and breakfasts. Most called for ingredients that are easy to find and that most peeople have on-hand already.
I bought this book as a gift for a friend who is an exercise/health nut. I looked it over very closely before giving it to her, and loved all the recipes submitted by former contestants. My friend was delighted to get it.
I really like the receipes. Would of liked to of seen more exercises, but it is a cookbook. I really enjoy watching the show and was delighted to have found the book.
I love cookbooks and have a ton, but none of them are geared toward helping me eat a well-balanced, lower calorie, yet still delicious and satisfiying meal. So, I purchased The Biggest Loser Cookbook and I have been completely satisfied. It contains a good number of snacks, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and extras to keep cooking for quite awhile. I'd purchased a used copy and also get to see which recipes the previous owner liked, which is fine with me and just helps me choose which ones to try out first.
I have watched the biggest loser on television and was inspired with the weight loss and perseverence. I bought the book in hopes that it would help me to lose weight in a safe and healty way. Some of the recipes were not to my taste as far as foods used. While a good cook book, it really isn't what I expected it to be. I guess you could say in a way it is just another cookbook.
This cookbook is well laid out, with great pictures and simple recipes that not lony are within "program" but that also taste GREAT! I have gotten rave reviews from bot family and friends who had no idea that the pork tenderloin or roast beef sandwiches or salmon came from the BL Cookbook! Toss out the Weight Watcher's stuff and enjoy the Biggest Loser! Out with the old, in with the new and improved! Enjoy!
Ive already read through this book. Ive made two recipes from it. What a wonderful purchase I made. Im trying to find ways to get my kids to eat a little healthier and I think there some things in here that they might enjoy. Good purchase. Would highly recommend.
Recipes are actually tastey. So far we liked all we made from the book.Would recommend this book, and also the calorie counter to anyone who wants to get in shape
Great book loaded with delicious recipes. Also contains a foreword that explains the ABC's of dieting. Perfect book for anyone looking to lose weight without sacrificing great taste!!
I really like this book. It is a very easy read, and the recipes are very simple, but not out of the ordinary either. It gives you great info on weight management, and calories, and exersise.
My friend wanted the cookbook cause she likes the food that is in it, since she is on a diet she likes what it has to offer. She got one from the liberary and cooked some stuff out of it and she found out that i usually got things off of ebay and now she has joined ebay to buy or bid for things now, I haven't asked her what she cooked but she would tell me that she cooked something for supper out of it she has so far lost 40 pounds from dieting and exercising
I couldn't find one recipe in the book that I would like. All unrealistic meals, mostly posted by contestants. If you are thinking about buying it, DON'T. you can get better recipes from other diet books, like the south beach diet book. or even eat salads, that would do the weight loss.
It seems like a great book, could have done with less about the show and more about the recipes. The recipes that are in the book seem like great ideas, with very appetizing photos of the food. I can't wait to try some!
I am a fan of the TV Reality series and thought the cookbook would be an interesting piece. I also am determined to lose some weight this year and take better care of myself. This book is a great help with wonderful weight loss ideas.
Great meals. Simple and easy shopping and planning. Skinny rueben is my fav!!!! The meals are as easy as they seam, and the flavor is not missing from anything. Enjoy an let the pounds drop:}
I love this cookbook. The recipes are simple and the ingredients are available. It makes you want to watch calories and cut out certain foods. With great tips from the trainers and the contestants themselves, you will never have an excuse not to eat healthier. It encouraged me so much, that I went the very next day and purchase healthier foods. The recipes are from the contestants themselves, so they are easy and fast. Excellent choice for those trying to cut back.
