The Big-Ass Book of Crafts by Mark Montano (2008, Paperback)

this book is great. It has many different crafts to do with your free time. The only problem is that rather than crafts that use around the house things, most of them you have to buy a lot of stuff to do.

I got The Big-Ass Book of Crafts because my daughter thought I would get a kick out of it! She was RIGHT! There is always a first time. I thumbed through it first, then I went back through it, then I made an item from it.. all in 3 hours. Some of the crafts were a little off the wall, some were something that I wouldn't even look at much less buy. But there were TONS of things that I would! I made the chandelier lamp, beautiful, and I received a lot of praise. Then I showed them the book, they are ordering it now. So all in all, buying The Big-Ass Book of Crafts was a Great idea! Can't wait to see the look on peoples faces this year at Christmas! Oh and by the way.. they can't return the present, but they can sell it at a garage sale.. But with beautiful functional crafts like these.. they wont! I wholeheartedly reccommend this book!

Perhaps it's the originality of so many of the projects, or perhaps just the fact that there are so many different projects (over 150) there is something for everyone in this book! Well worth the price!

I saw this book at a local book store for about 20 dollars or so & I really wanted it but i held out and decided to check online to see if i could get a better deal. Fortunately i was able to find the book for a much cheaper price, even with shipping charges ( the price of book and shipping was very reasonable). I love this book and I am so glad that i waited to purchase it online.

Lots of ideas, good gift for a crafter. Many look like they are easy to make out of recycled materials or inexpensive to make.

Everything came as promised! the book gave our family some really fun ideas that mom and I can do with our little girl.

For someone who's not too crafty or too original of thinking about things to do, this book is great. So much of this stuff is common sense and easy, but I would never think of it, or more importantly, how to do it! You can never say anything in here is too difficult to do. It also made me think of other things I can do myself.

very interesting book, even if you dont like the projects it gives you they are versatile enough that you can make it your own. filled with alot of original ideas and even a few surprises.
