TO REALLY ENJOY THIS DVD SET, YOU MUST HAVE A REAL TASTE FOR KOVACK'S HUMOR. IT'S VERY GOOD AT TIMES AND LABORED AT OTHERS. THE QUALITY IS GOOD AS THERE WAS NOT THE BEST IN TAPING IN THOSE DAYS. OVERALL, IT'S GOOD AND AN IMPORTANT PART OF TV'S COMEDY HISTORY. ENJOYABLE WITH ALL OF KOVACK'S CHARACTERS TOO!

Excellent for people into off-the-wall humor.I purchased Ernie Kovacs DVDs from 3 different vendors, and I am very pleased with all. Please remember that these copies came from primitive recording devices, so the quality is not great, but the picture and the sound that came through were completely understandable. Nothing appeared to be lost.
And, as for the subject, Ernie Kovacs was truly an original comic, rather in the mold of Monty Python or Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in. Politically uptight people should definately pass these up, not because of the subject matter but because they contain award-winning ads for Dutch Masters Cigars. No Ernie Kovacs production would be complete without them.
Recomended for anybody that appreciates humor from extremely dry to slapstick.
