) I read Pigs In Heaven prior to this with the former being the first in the sagas of Taylor and Turtle Greer. So enjoyable, both The Bean Trees AND Pigs In Heaven are on my "love these books" list. The Poisonwood Bible I read when it first came out and until recently hadn't read any other Kingsolver novels but these two make your heart and soul fill with tenderness for the characters. I adore the way this author "talks" - her characters becoming so real. Thanks for the opportunity to voice my opinion - I hope you choose to read at least THE BEAN TREES - once you do you'll look for PIGS IN HEAVEN as quickly as you can! ENJOY!

I was disapointed in the condition of this book.the book had a very bad smell ,like it had been stored in a damp place. I will not resell it again. i decided to buy it because the author and story are very good.

The Bean TreesThis is the first book of a two book series, the second book is "Pigs in Heaven". A story of failure, triumph, love, laughter, hope, tears and just plain humanness! A1++++++++++++ A must read!
