The Bank Job (DVD, 2008, Widescreen/Full Screen Version)

I expected this movie to be somewhat entertaining, and maybe a bit cheesy. After all, it's not difficult to muck up a heist movie. However, this film gets it all right. The acting is top notch, the story is not only engaging and clever but TRUE (!), and the experience of seeing it is thoroughly enjoyable.

The only complaints I have of the film are that the characters do get a little cheeky from time to time (but hey, they're British, so it's kind of expected), and there's a couple flashbacks/lapses in time that are initially confusing - although everything is clearly laid out about halfway through. Want to see a good movie? Check this one out!

The Bank Job is a movie that is based upon actual events surrounding a bank robbery in London. Jason Statham plays the leader of the Walkie-Talkie gang who takes down a secure bank in London. Once they rob the bank they are thrust into a dangerous situation as they loot a number of items that cause a local gang, a political activist, and the British Secret Service to start hunting for them.

The movie starts off slow and very sexual. So I'd not recommend watching this with younger children. However, once the movie starts rolling it is very addictive and you want to see what happens at the end!

Jason Statham gives a great performance in this film which is based on actual events. As the leader of the gang that pulls off the robbery of London Bank.

The movie starts off a little slow but as the film progresses your interest is captured and is held until the end. I am unsure of how much is actual fact and how much is creative license but with all the screw ups that take place during the robbery it is astonishing that the bank was every robbed.

There are some very good supporting performances by David Suchet (Porn King Vogel) and Saffron Burrows (Martine Love).

If you like action movies and are a Statham fan then this movie is a definite must see.

Rated 5 of 5 for great acting and an entertaining story.

I love the actor Jason Statham. But this movie was not what I thought it to be.

Watched the first half and this movie was not appealing.

However, my nephew loved it. So by all means the movie will be watched for someone that would enjoy it.

Top Quality DVD, Brand new in factory packageing! Arrived extremely fast! The plot of the movie took a few turns to keep you interested! But as usual, The leading actor Jason Statham put in a top notch performance just as i expected.

One of the best movies of 2008. Jason does a superb job as a dramatic actor and not a rock-em sock-em character. Based on a true story it capture your imagination the entire time

Good movie, great to enjoy in the evening at home with a beverage of your choice. I purchased the movie because of the previews in the theater. I did not have time to go out and see the movie, so I bought it from Zeyroc Kennels off ebay. Easy purchase, quick delivery and less money spent than if I had gone to the theater.

Slow start but after 10 minutes or so it becomes compelling viewing, especially since its based on fact.

Not one of Jason Statham's best movies, but, it was funny and sometimes outrageous in some parts of it .. Statham needs to stick to his action type movies ..
