The Art of Public Speaking by Stephen E. Lucas (2006)

Was a good book, had tons of good stuff. Content is of course important, but really, practice, practice, practice is what makes a good speech.

I am glad that the book arrived in a speedy matter. the only thing that i have a problem with is he book is highlighted all over the place in orange highlighter which makes it hard for someone like myself (with bad eyes) to figure out some of the words. Also, the book did not come with the cds. the response that i got said it stated that and i now understand. if you are going to sell the product though, at least sell what comes with it. alot of the pages are rather wrinklely too. grant it, i do realize it is a used book, there should be some type of guidelines on what ebay accepts as far as letting them sell it on line.

The book was in near perfect condition and the CDs were never opened.The price was great and the shipping was fast and reasonable. Needed it for a class.

I never received the book at all and I was charged for it. I'm trying to retain my money for a book I never received. The sellers lie about sending the book on two different occasions. I offer to meet up with the buyer because we were only 20 minutes in driving distant. I'm a college student that is really trying to finish school and it is getting very expensive. I really need the money back for another book or a full tank of the high gas that will get me before to school. If eBay sent the money to the seller then he or she need to send it back. I cancel the order after two week that I did not receive it into a four week class I email the seller several time and he or she will say that I send it off and never did. So I cancel the order. I had to go my college library to get old copy of the book for my class. SO eBay or the seller I NEED MY MONEY BACK FOR SOMETHING THAT NEVER RECIEVED FROM YOU ARE THE SELLER, WHOM EVER RECIEVED THE MONEY THEY NEED TO CREDIT IT BACK TO MY CREDT CARD ACCOUNT.

My daughter needed "The Art of Public Speaking" by Stephen Lucas for a class she was taking this summer. The cost new through the school was $100.00, used was $75.00. and there was no guarantee of a used book being available. So we decided to look it up on E-bay, and found it for $50.00. We were both very excited.

I don't really like the book but I needed it for a summer class and didn't want to spend almost $80 on it. So instead I found it on half.com/ebay for literally half the price and it included numerous cd-roms which I found very useful. I'm glad I bought it off of here and I'm very glad it included the cds.

I have not read this book. It was bought for a family member. Hopefully he or she liked this book...

GREAT BOOK, HOWEVER I READ FEW OTHER PUBLIC SPEAKING BOOK AS WELL AND IT IS SIMILAR. THE BOOK PROVIDE YOU TIPS ON HOW TO WRITE SPEECH OUTLINE, EXTEMPORANOUS SPEECH IS IMPORTANT, AND WAY TO USE VISUALS AIDS, THINGS THAT HELP TO MAKE A GREAT SPEECH. BOOK WAS KIND OF EXPENSIVE, YOU CAN FIND SIMILAR BOOK FOR HALF OF THE PRICE.

The book was delivered so late...seller said she shipped the book before she actually did. Apart from that customer service was good and book was in excellent condition

Well since i ordered this book Jan. 22 2008 and still haven't recieved it. I am really disappointed in ebay/ half.com. I have filed a claim about two weeks ago and still waiting to hear back from that. So my experience was very poor and I will not rely on ebay again!

The book arrived on time and in good condition. There was more writing and highlights than I would like, but over all good condition.

its ok,i bought this textbook because i needed it for my speech class that i take. i dont really use the book though, the professor just made me spend my money :(. or at least i dont think we use the book. i actually dont know im rarely in that class/

The book arrived promptly and was had for cheaper than anywhere else. It did not include the CD-ROM though, which, for a new book should have been there. The library has the CD-ROM and I couldn't beat the price so it's all good.
