The Altar And The Door [Blister] by Casting Crowns (CD, Aug-2007, Reunion)

I just bought this cd today. I already love it. The first song ("What This World Needs") on the cd gets things going with the rockiness of the song. Some of the songs sound like the classic Casting Crowns, but other songs like "The Alter and the Door" has a little bit of a different sound. This cd also, as in the other two cds, talks about difficult subjects. As in "Somewhere In the Middle" talks about us and if we are willing to trade our dream for God's. This cd is a solid choice for anyone. I LOVE Casting Crowns and I LOVE this cd. The Alter and the Door is a sure hit!!! This band is truly for God and they show it through this masterpiece.

Casting Crowns continues toprovide us with meaningful music and beautiful songwriting. Keep them coming!!!

I absolutely love casting Crowns and I have to say that this is the best CD of theirs so far! All of the songs are amazing and just dig in. This is my new number one cd!

I DID NOT GET MY CD. I ORDERED IT BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND HAVE EMAILED LUCKYSTAR 959 3 TIMES AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM HIM. HE IS A THEIF AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED.

As usual this band does a great job of combining thought provoking lyrics with great music style. I am glad to have the cd and will wear it out (if you can do that to a cd). I would rcommend this to anyone that likes Casting Crowns or is interested in a band that develops current and insightful music.

I bought this CD because it has some of songs I like a lot. I listen to Christian Radio all the time and had heard some of Casting Crown's latest songs which are on this CD. The CD arrived safe and sound and sounds heavenly.

Best Christian band out there by far! Love the music, it bridges the gap of the younger crowd and those of us in their 40's and up. Such talent from each and every one of the group. Mixed styles to meet everyone's taste. The messages in the songs are the best part. You will be blessed.

I've been listening to KLOVE and 90.3(in touch family living) since my husband passed away last November. I got so much peace from this cd that I got myself one and two others for my mother and sister!

A great CD from Casting Crowns. This one has some songs that really touched me. There are a couple I did not care for but overall its good. They continue to speak to the Christian about the struggles of living for Jesus. I would suggest this one for purchase.

I bought the cd it was everything I expected out of the artist and the ones who produced it and put it together and got it below the price you would have paid any where else. I highly recommend this CD of Casting Crowns The Altar And The Door

The third long awaited release in the fall of this year for Casting Crowns is here! Compared to the first two releases, this is nothing like their previous music. For those who may not have heard this album yet, you may be in for a surprise. Mark Hall has done some very impressive ballad and inspiring somgs. This album takes both the music and the lyrics a step further. You listen to these songs and you find that they are filled with rich heart to heart realisitc lyrics. You get a taste of it from two of the songs, East To West and Slow Fade. As far as I know the East To West song has been climbing the charts drastically within the beginnings of it being played on Christian radio. Most of these songs and their styles are not new, but certainly have been updated by dusting off soem of the older artists like Wayne Watson and Steve Green in the fact that the lyrics are driven from a deep personal level, which is lacking in the Christian community. This album is both disturbing and uplifting.

To be quite honest, I am disappointed. I love the other two CD's a whole lot better. Casting Crowns is my favorite christian rock band but they could of done better on this one! I guess I am "picky" but if so...why do I STILL play the other two CD's. I love "praise you in this storm" and of course "who am I". Those two songs plus many others touch your heart, in ways not many others have. Mark Hall is an excellent song writer and the lyrics to me are not what is the problem, he is wonderful.I just feel this CD does not measure up to the ones prior is all. It is average and okay and the first two songs are good. But I paid for the whole CD, not singles....lol. However, the purchase and service that I received was high ranking. I was impressed with the seller and the overall transaction. I would buy from the seller again and of course, being a fan of casting crowns, I would purchase their next CD, just hope it is better than this one or has the same quality of the last two before.

This CD is a must have for your collection! All the songs speak to your heart. As I listen to them, its like Casting Crowns wrote them just for me! I can't pick a favorite song on it yet, but SLOW FADE is definately in the top 2! You will not regret buying this CD!

Casting Crowns has become my favorite Christian Worship band. Their lyrics is definitly from the Holy Spirit and the quality of the music is better than most secular bands. This album will grow on you. You will definitly feel the connection to Christ!

I love this cd. The songs are awesome. I heard some of the song from the movie Fireproof and just had to have the cd. I love the songs of praise and how they take things from life and put music to it

This CD is powerful with many thought provoking songs. Our favorite is probably "Slow Fade" with "East to West", "Somewhere in the Middle", and "The Word is Alive" tying for second.

I LOVE this CD; a beautiful example of God and Jesus word spread through music and song. The songs teach us a better way to live in this troubled world.

The music is very encouraging and inspiring! Casting Crowns has great musical ability and my husband and i both enjoy it. He has been talking for a long time about buying this CD and i decided to purchase it for him for his birthday. I know he'll be very pleased!

This CD has been out for a while and I finally bought it. It has 3-4 good upbeat songs along with some that are slower and more contemplative. It's a good CD and I recommend it.
