Waaaay too much sugar!

I've changed my mind about this book. At first I was excited about it - I'd get to eat MORE food and food that I normally wouldn't touch was on the menu. However, after several weeks of the diet & exercise I am re-thinking my commitment.
I took a closer look at the foods on the menu. They are LOADED with sugar. Plain yogurt = 16g/serving.
Preserves = 12g/serving.
One slice of whole wheat bread = 4g of sugar.
I don't ever eat sugar. I now have headaches, my focus is off and I'm having trouble sleeping.
Compared to my normal food choices, this diet is borderline junk food. If you need wheat bread to get your daily fiber, you're not eating right to begin with. My fiber comes from organic whole grains (like barley) and beans in every color of the rainbow.
I haven't lost any weight, either. Ok, I've lost one pound...but I bought lighter running shoes so I can't attribute that pound to this diet. lol
If you eat at McDonald's every day...this is going to be a good diet for you.
Otherwise....don't bother.
