This is a very informative book, especially for beginners. There are a lot of tips for inexpensive ways to use make-up, skin care and tools. I've been around a long time and I tell you, the 5 minute face looked just as good as all the time I've spent on my face primping! I loved the way she put all the products she recommended at the end of the book with the expensive or cheaper option. I wish this book was printed 20 years ago!! Don't hesitate to buy this one, it's totally worth it and very easy to read!!:)

best for beginners

i love carmindy on the show, i love her tips, i thought this book was a natural purchase. it is very nicely done with helpful tips on what to wear for your age (20's-60's).
however, i was looking for a book on technique. which i did not get here.
this really covers a simple, everyday face. just as the title implies. i use this book to introduce my not makeup savy friends to a better way to do their makeup. but for me, an intermediate makeup do-er.....not so much.

I WATCH WHAT NOT TO WEAR AND I ALWAYS LIKED CARMINDY AND HOW EASY SHE MADE APPLYING MAKE-UP... I HAVE READ HER BOOK AND UNDERLINED CERTAIN PARTS. SHE COVERS ALL MAKEUP ANY FEMALE WOULD NEED... I PLAN ON PURCHASING A COUPLE OF THE PRODUCTS THAT SHE USES BOTH ON TV AND IN HER BOOK.. CARMINDY HAS A GREAT BACKGROUND AND YOU LOOK AT THE WAY HER MAKE-UP IS APPLIED AND SHE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS AND NATURAL... CARMINDY IS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE SHOW... I ALSO PURCHASED THE BOOK FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR HER BIRTHDAY.... HER BOOK IS EASY TO FOLLOW AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN EXPERT TO FOLLOW HER DIRECTIONS. I AM EXTREMELY INTERESTED IN THE AIR FLASH FOUNDATION.. I DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE SHE HAD A BOOK OUT AND WHAT BETTER PLACE TO CHECK WAS EBAY, BECAUSE IF IT IS OUT THERE YOU CAN ALWAYS FIND IT ON EBAY...
