That's Right: Nat Adderley and the Big Sax Section

This is one of the best,if not the best session Nat made for Riverside.
Nat is in fine form and the sax section has that "fat" sound that is partly due to the recording and partly to Tate Houston's baritone. The rhythm section of Wynton Kelly, Jimmy Cobb and Sam Jones swings it's collective tale off with the highlight being Sam's bass, brilliantly captured in this 1960 recording. Sax solos by Cannonball,Lateef, Rouse and Jimmy Heath are all very solid.
A great session by any standards.
