Thanksgiving by Diana Karter Appelbaum (1984, Hardcover)

An excellent chronicle about the most traditional of holidays. It tells us how and why Thanksgiving began in this country, as well as how it began in other countries. It offers a thorough explanation as to why it has so much meaning to so many people. It is well written, with many black and white hand-drawn illustrations, and is easily understood by all ages. I bought this book intending it as a learning tool to explore this special holiday with my daycare children.
