Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Graphic Calculator

I bought 2 of these actually, the first cause i needed a calculator, the second because my first one got stolen. That should say two things, one that it is good enough to be stolen, and two that it is good enough for me to buy a second one.

For the money, this calculator is a great deal. It has plenty of memory, great screen clarity, great battery life, and the controls are fairly easy to get used to.

There are plenty of games you can find to add to the calculator, also its data cable is a simple mini-usb cable so if it doesn't come with one, or you loose it, its very easy to replace.

This calculator has almost 8 times the memory that the TI-83 has which means you can store more games, apps, and files on this calculator then the previous TI-83.
The TI-84 plus has great screen clarity, its very easy to read during low light situations and outdoor light situations.

Texas Instruments is the most popular brand of graphing calculators currently out there which means that you can transfer files between pers easily, and you can figure out problems easier than if you had a no name brand.

All in all, the TI-84 is a brilliant addition to the Texas Instuments Graphing Calculator family, and a worthwhile tool to anybody in school or work.

This calculator is a step up from early versions. it has a few more functions than previos models and actaully has a better screen and style. I reccommend this calculator, since i have had mine for 3 years and its still kickin,,,, VEry Sturdy!

I find it very hard to rate a calculator like this one. I never had to use a graphing calculator before I bought this one. It was very easy to learn how to do the "basics" but I have yet to tap into its potential. After taking the TI-84 through Calc AB and Calc BC I found it to be very reliable and helpful on homework and during tests. All over the internet you can find guides to help you learn how to do more advanced tools. Overall I would recommend this calculator to anyone going into high school or college math/science.

Yeah pretty much. All the functions of a TI-83 are there but it happens to be in a different housing.

The major separating point aside to the cosmetics would be the memory as it nearly has 3 times the 83's but what other applications do you really need to use up all the memory?

I used this in high school algebra and calculus and found it to be a must. I upgraded to the 89 of course and never turned back.... (Yes the 89 is by far better).

This calculator is great for high school, SAT's, ACT's, and other standardized tests. It helped me in chemistry, and physics as well. I highly recommend this for the average high schooler but for the money, the ti-89 would be something one should look into.

I bought the Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Graphic Calculator some time ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this item. It bring the opportunity to develope any kind of graphic. It size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan. I'd recommend the Calculator if you're on a budget.

I really like this calculator because it has a powerful processor, and it came with lots of cool apps. It graphs pretty fast, but the memory size it a bit small. Otherwise a great buy for the price.

I am a math teacher. The TI-84 plus graphic calculator is a must in high school math. I picked the pink one because it is easy to find with a classroom full of students who are using yellow or black calculators.

Remember when buying a calculator online. YELLOW calculators are sold to educational institutes only. If you see one being sold on ebay, it was probably stolen from a school.

I bought this calculator for my husband. It has made his math class a lot easier for him. He really likes the calculator. We had heard that the calculator was complicated but it actually isn't that hard to use. We are glad we bought it and recommend it to anyone taking a college course math class.

This clown never shipped the item, did not respond to emails so I finally had to resort to Pay Pal's Resolution Facility to get a credit for my Pay Pal payment. Watch out for this guy; he's a phony.

I have no opinion about this calculator, son needed it for school and I wasn't about to buy new, not in this day and age of eBay. After he is finished with it, I'm sure I'll put it up for auction so the next student can have an affordable calculator for school. I did play with it some, it seems to be a real nice product.

I bought this calculator for my precalc class that I am taking. I didn't want to pay walmart prices for it so got it from eBay. It is a great calculator for those people needing something more than the basics. Lite enough that you never know you are carrying it. I also purchased a stand for it, so that it is at a better viewing angle when seating on the desk. The stand can be purchased from Texas Instruments website. Comes with several applications to be used in classes, such as periodic element chart. So is very versatile.

The TI 84 Plus is probably the best calculator for the price. It looks a hundred times better than the TI 83 + (which is required for most classes) and has more memory. You can do anything with this calculator that the TI 83+ can. It's a ridiculus calcutor. I would highly recommend it.

I love this calculator and have purchased them for my students at the community college where I teach math and chemistry. The students were excited about getting a great calculator and saving some money on Ebay. The calculator is user friendly and the adult students love it because it is easy to learn to use. As an educator, I would highly recommend this calculator.

I purchased this item on ebay after shopping at Walmart. I would have paid over $125.00 after sales tax for this same product at Walmart. By shopping at Ebay, I was able to purchase the TI-84 Plus and have it shipped for about $75.00. I saved $50.00 and my daughter got a better product as a result. If I had purchased at Walmart I would have bought the cheaper TI-83 for just over $95.00. I assume that Walmart would have been the least expensive retail outlet for such an item and therefore it makes my Ebay purchase all the more of a great deal. The vendor was extremely prompt and communicated with me. I could not have had a better experience.

This is an awesome product. It is simple to use, yet capable of extremely complex tasks. I found the included operating manual to be average in its layout and detail. I was able to find additional information on-line at the TI website and quickly downloaded upgrades and other programs that make this a great product for me and my family. I needed a graphing calculator for that would meet my needs as an electrical systems designer, also meet the needs of my teenage grandaughter and her advanced math and science classes, and be simple enough to use that my nine year old grandson can use it as well. This calculator also has an advance laboratory capability and can be teamed with other TI CBL data collection products to make a real world monitoring station for a variety of temperature, voltage, light and speed sensors. I would recommend this product to students and career technicians and lab personnel.

Seller took a long time to send the item, and he advertised a TI-84 Plus but sent me a TI-83 Plus. I paid $47.00 for it, and to avoid anymore problems I just kept the TI-83 anyways. Sorry I will not do business with him again.

My grandson's technical high school requires a graphing calculator. They recommended three TI models. I opted for the TI-84 Plus because it had the most features. I'm pretty hopeful that this will be the only calculator he'll need until after he graduates.

Well, I bought the calculator on May 12, 2008 and it is June 10, 2008 and I still haven't received it. The buyer did tell me it had been sent but I don't think the mailing process should take that long.
