Texas Instruments TI-73 Graphic Calculator

I love this calculator. I use it with my seventh grade math students, but would also recommend it for younger grades, as well as high school. This calculator has fraction capabilities, and the numbers actually look like fractions/ mixed numbers! It makes accurate graphs from lists of numbers, and does all the statistical computations easily. I use it to write easy programs with my students. You need an overhead projector adaptor to show the class what you are doing. The calculators don't break down, and the batteries last a long time. Highly recommended! You should not have to pay more than $60-$70 for a new one, at most, including shipping, on ebay for this calculator.

I purchased the TI 73 for my son, he is in the 7th grade and it was a request that we have one at home for homework. The price was very reasonable and was worth every penny.

I bought this product about a month ago. The functions on the calculator makes it very easy for a first time user to quickly learn how to utilize it.

My daughter was required to purchase this calculator for her 7th grade Algebra Class. It seems to be working just fine.

great calculator this is a nice one and a good it s helpfull for high school but if you want to study hard science its might be not suitable especially for the matrix calculation

Excellent calculator for algebra I students. Not too many buttons. Screen is easy to read. Helps with learning the proper order of solving problems.

Don't laugh too loud but I bought this by mistake. I meant to purchase a TI-83 for a High School student as a gift. OOPS!!! But anyways the TI-73 came quickly and in A1 perfect condition. It will come in handy for my 10 year old Grandson. Next time I will be more careful in ordering!

As a recent college graduate/middle school math instructor (substitute for now), I am used to the more advanced Texas Instruments calculators. I have used both the TI-89 and the voyage 200. Both of these have aided the learning process by adding a visual element to the material.
The TI-73 explorer is perfect for grades 6-8 math students. The TI-89 is way too complicated for students of this age. I believe that ALL middle schools should implement this calculator when students begin 6th grade. Technology is prevalent in all aspects of life and academics now. It is vital for students to learn how to use a graphing calculator for high school and college level mathematics. By starting with the TI-73, students will have a much easier time learning not only the material at hand but will aid in the understanding of the TI-89 or TI-84.
Due to the fact that I haven’t had any formal teaching experience with graphing calculators (my district does not allow them), I am not able to detail any specifics regarding the product.
Having said that, I can tell you that the number line feature is a great way to help young or confused kids learn how to add/subtract with negative integers. I have seen too many students using their fingers as a tool when confused on these types of questions.

This was a great calculator and in like new condition. It works great. My niece really liked it for school. It was just what she needed in the 8th grade. thanks

This is a good calculator for most college math courses and all high school classes. It has the ability to do any and all simple math and the ability to anything as complicated as advanced calculus. This is a must buy if you are looking for a calculator at a good price!
