Tetrisphere (Nintendo 64, 1997)

I love this game. I'm not a classic tetris fan and rented it years ago on a whim. My husband and I were instantly addicted. We bought the game and played it for hours and hours (we're talking 8 hr marathons sometimes) and it is by far our favourite.

Years later, we bought a gamecube and gave our 64 and games to my nephews ('01?). This year we were finally able to track down a copy of Tetrisphere and bought an old 64 system so we can play it again. It's so fun. The only downside is that I don't have the time to do 8-10hr marathons....(I miss the "A" imprints in my thumb!)

I HIGHLY recommend this game. It is my favourite for 2 players (and the single puzzle mode is fun too).

Nintendo hit one out of the park in this remixed version of an old classic. Tetrisphere breaks all the boundries of 2-D and brings forward a world where there will no longer be a level 9 speed falling from top to bottom and no more trying to get those blasted "L" pieces to fit in awkward positions. You will now have to use your head more than your reflexes to unravel the mysteries of the tetrishpere. Major replayability, Major mulitplayer modes and Major fun all come together to make Tetrisphere an instant classic!

my wife is the one that got this one, and she said she loved it as a kid, and still finds it challenging at 26. bought it for the price and because she said to buy it... LOL

I went on ebay searching for old games for Nintendo 64. And i found was I was looking for. And at a great price. I also received the item very quickly and could enjoy playing. BUt now I ahve to control when to stop. I ahve stayed up many nights playing. Love the game works great and great price.

I bought this game for me. I don't play a lot of games but I like tetris. My oldest son bought this game and let me try it. After I played I had to have it. It was a good buy so I bought it. I have been very happy with the service and the quality of the games I have bought.

I have benn looking for this game about 6 years and the game stores just can't keep it stocked, so when I found it on ebay and was able to get it at such a good price I was thrilled. I now enjoy hours of play it's funny how games can bring the kid out in you no matter how old you are, my kids just wish I would share my game :)

When my kids were at home, they played this game but we rented it. Now they have WII and all the other stuff but they both have really enjoyed their "new" copies of an old favorite.

i decided to buy this because my wife wanted it. She loved this game before all the new high def gaming came out so i bought it for her.

Is this the greatest puzzle game ever made? Perhaps, but there's no question that Tetrisphere it is the greatest Tetris game ever made. Although the game is great as a single player experience, it's the multiplayer vs. mode that makes Tetrisphere really shine as one of the best multiplayer games of all time.

To experience the maximum multiplayer mayhem that this game has to offer, use only two blocks: the purple "L" block and the red "T" block. You'll also want to make the sphere 5 layers deep with 99% core exposure required to win (you'll see why). For some reason these two blocks fit together well on the sphere allowing for huge, often unintentional combos. These huge combos strip the sphere of blocks quickly and send an exorbitant amount of black blocks to the opponent who is then forced to either use skill in block manipulation on these blocks to generate massive combos of their own and return them to the opponent or die trying.

It's this mechanic of sending black blocks to the opponent and skillfully utilizing black blocks received to send even more black blocks back that makes Tetrisphere's multiplayer so much fun and by setting the core exposure required to win to 99%, your fun won't be interrupted by someone accidentally winning from core exposure.

I bought it for a dear friend of mine who came to Puerto Rico recently. It is her favorite game of all times. Almost defeated it with more than 50 million points, amazing.

this is simply an abomination and a bastardization of the classic game of tetris. it's just not very fun.

its pretty fun and challenging also... over all i say this is a very good tetris look-a-like heeh. fun factor of a rating out of 10 id say a good 7 maybe .... but definitly a 6‰and a 1/2. :)

this game is so fun, A lot of people who's played with me hate it because they can't figure it out. But I love tetris so this game kept me busy! Great graphics and awesome music, I really like it.

I love this game! it takes tetris to the next level. Loads of funs. it is really a challenge working on a sphere instead of having the pieces fall.
if you are a tetris nut you will love this game!

Well I love this game. I originally bought it for my husband because he played it when he was younger and I ended up getting in to it too!

I absolutely love this game. I had this game when I was younger and then my brother sold our 64. I just re bought this game and a 64 simply so I can play this game. I recommend this game to anyone who likes to do game puzzles.

It keeps my wife busy for hours. She loves it for the challenge when she is bored. I would even recommend this for puzzle lovers.

Excellent game for mature adults who like to use their minds for something other than killing, shooting, maiming, etc. as most popular games of today do.
