Each of the DS version's six modes of play features a theme based on a classic Nintendo game, such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda or Metroid. The traditional Tetriminos (falling blocks) and line-clearing strategy remain the staples of the game, but the touch screen adds a new element of interactivity. Some modes give players special Tetris puzzles to solve. Others feature head-to-head action between two players, or massive wireless battles between 10 DS users (even if only one player has a game card). Players also can log onto Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to compete in two- or four-player battles. Tetris DS even includes a point-based rating system based on players' battle results. Opponents can see one another's ratings, which indicate their skill levels. Special Features

The six modes leaves you with endless entertainment. I am so glad that there is an online mode where I can dominate people anytime anywhere. A must to any true handheld veteran. Who would have thought that the simple formula of tetris could be improved upon whatsoever. Well Ninendo has taken a simple, classic puzzle game and spun it into six completely different game modes that each represent hours of puzzle fun on the go. This is easily the best version of tetris produced to date. None other comes close. The best feature is that virtually the entire game can be played in multiplayer mode with only a single cartridge. This makes it one of the best mulitplayer games on the DS for that single reason. But whether you're playing with friends or just trying to improve you high score, you'll get sucked into this very fun, fun colorful, very improved game of Tetris. It's great how many modes there are, if you get tired of one, you can switch to another. Also, the music and jukebox in it are pretty cool. Whether you grew up playing this or have never even heard of it, it is definitely worth buying. + Pros: +Online Multiplayer +Items mix things up a bit +6 Fun Game Modes +Never gets old or boring! - Cons: NO CONS! Tetris2 has amode where the object is to get the little dude to the bottom and he makes sounds while climbing that I just adore. This makes Tetris2 my favorite but if that wasn't on there DS would be it for me! It's got so many different ways to play there's no way you could ever get bored with it. It took me 8 months and many lost auctions before finally winning this game through an eBay auction. I refused to "buy it now" in excess of $50 + s&h but had I known I'd love it so much I'd have gladly paid that price to enjoy it. All-in-all I'm extremely impressed with the game and the game system. Nintendo DS and Tetris DS are amazing. If you don't have them, I highly recommend getting them! Review ID: 10000000008233791 Was this review helpful? Report this review I’m sure you've seen various 'free' gift scams on the Internet, but the following offers are NOT scams in any way, shape or form. This method has been covered by respectable sources such as CNN, MSNBC, Fox, Wired and G4. The reason these companies make money, is because most people don't bother getting all the referrals. All you have to do is post it on eBay. They use us as advertisement by word of mouth which saves them tons of money that goes toward yours and my free gift. There are many well known legitimate offers to choose from such as Blockbuster online, Stamp.com, Gamefly which are services you would regularly sign up for anyways and their all secure networks, why not use them to get a free PS3 or cash (I did the Stamps.com for a 30 day free trial and it never cost me a penny and I received credit for it the same day). Look at the offers and choose the one that works for you. After signing up and completing your one offer, simply refer a few people (depending on the FREE prize you choose) to do the same under your link. Step 1: Click this link http://www.YourPS34free.c Step 2: Sign up and chose an account type (Referral is the easiest and best). Step 3: Complete just 1 free trial offer (like Stamps.com, You will start a trial and can cancel it right after with no charge at all.) Step 4: Refer to people to do the same. Just do what I’m doing and use eBay. Step 5: Receive your PS3 for FREE! For proof that this is for real, click on the link below. It's the company that is behind everything. http://www.trainn.org If you have any questions feel free to message me!! I'll Respond ASAP. If you want hints/tips about the whole process, I'd be happy to fill you in. Review ID: 10000000008143909 Was this review helpful? Report this review |
