Terminator Salvation (Blu-ray Disc, 2009, WS; Director's Cut; Includes Digital Copy)

I am a big fan of the Terminator movies and honestly the second and third were nowhere near as good as the first one. This one, in my opinion was very close to being better than the first one (it isn't but it was close). It is extremely action pack. It it is pretty much not stop action from the start of the movie to the end. This movie is by far one of the best movies made this year. I hope that the next Terminator movie will be as good as this one is.

The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world. Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor(Christian Bale). Now the world is on the brink of the future that Connor has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past whose last memory is of being on Death Row before awakening in this strange, new world. Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted, but as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

Great movie and a great continuation of the terminator series. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes the early terminator films.

Buy on the 14th of December the movie and still not have and is the first time that I have not got a product on ebay. Not for the first time buyer on ebay, and when I buy the goods I get quick to Puerto Rico and the time it takes the merchandise is two weeks. And I want a reply that I have not got the product

Awesome high-def movie, bought it because i have a ps3 and the price was right! Highly recommend any blu ray dvd, the quality of the video and sound is way better than any standard DVD.

I expected much to be delivered from this movie and in the end was quite disappointed. After the Terminator 2, I now firmly believe that without James Cameron, Terminator sequels are going nowhere.

Surprisingly, Sam Worthington did much better job than Christian Bale in the movie. The role of John Connor seemed weak.

For blu ray, the sound quality of the movie is excellent. However, overall I believe that the movie could have been made a lot better.

This is a fun, action-packed sequel to the terminator franchise that not only manages entertains you, but feels like a fresh update to the franchise. To tell you the truth it almost feels like "Terminator: Our Apology for Rise of the Machines". The acting by Sam Worthington and Christian Bale were emotional and fresh with bale playing a glowering and mature Conner. Worthington's account of a man thrown into this world gone mad feels spot on and genuine. The action feels realistic and well paced, as does the story line.

The video transfer is simply amazing, and while it lacks any semblance of a bright and detailed palette, the dusty hues and deep contrast will showcase, from beginning to end, the details that your particular set up can bring out. The blasted remains of L.A. are stunning in 1080p, as are the sparse and open desert landscapes the characters find themselves adventuring through.

The sound is crisp, even on my older Dolby Pro-Logic I set up. It does a great job of making the sound experience 3-d and helps draw you into the film. Bullets fly, impacts slam over your head, Attack Planes blast over your couch with crisp and deep thunder.

Weather your a long time fan of the series, or a video-phile looking for a film that will showcase your systems abilities, this Terminator will get the job done.

I have to say Terminator is one of my favortie series and not because of Arnold. The story itself references the apocalypse of earth that comes about because humans made machines that began to think by itself and terminated humans to protect its own existence. This 4th movie in the series doesn't include Arnold except for maybe a short scene that is probably comupter animated. It stars mainly Christian Bale of Batman who becomes the grown-up John Conner. In the movie the last humans on earth fight for survival and to protect humanity from extinction. The musical score is ok, the graphics are awsome, storyline is as great as I hoped, acting is good. A solid movie just not a masterpiece.

Loved this movie. Christian Bale does a fantastic job, much better than his batman character. This movie stays true to the story of Judgement day and what happens after to John Connor. Can't wait to see if there is another one.

the blu rays were in great condition and got there fast. this person had good copmmunication. i would buy from this ebay seller again. i would recomend this seller to others.

Director McG (Joseph McGinty) brings us up to and beyond the early stages of war between man and machines. The savior of the rebellion, John Conner (Christian Bale) is doing everything he can to make sure man survives the future. John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. He thinks he has found a way to ensure that, and he also learns that the machines have targeted the man who's supposed to father him, Kyle Reese.

One of Conner's female rebels Blair Williams, meets up with Marcus Wright who has had no prior knowledge of the Judgment Day of the past. When they reach the base they discover Wright is part machine and suspect that he was sent by Skynet. Wright claims this is not true. We aren't for sure either, although the film start us in 2003, in the Longview State Correctional Facility, Marcus Wright is on death row. He is prompted to help research by a Dr. Serena Kogan to donate his body.

Leaping forward to 2018, after an unsuccessful attack to a Skynet facility, only John Connor survives, but he discovers that Skynet is developing the powerful new model T-800. Out of the blue, Marcus appears from below with experiencing amnesia. Marcus soon meets and befriends the teenager Kyle Reese and the girl Star that help him survive the lethal terminator machines. They get a Jeep running and take off on the run. The resistance discovers a signal that might turn-off the machines and John offers to test it. When Kyle is captured by a machine and brought to the Skynet headquarter, Marcus decides to help the youngster and heads to Skynet. But Marcus steps on a mine and is submitted to a surgery, when a secret about his origin is disclosed. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators.

I'm giving this film a 5/5 for keeping true to the story-line and having fantastic action and adventure leading to the next sequel.

I like all the movies the terminator, this movie is the best and i like more because is a blue-ray disc

Dvd is in very good condition. Factory sealed and brand new. Nicely package with bubble wrap. Price is reasonable.

Excellent movie for the fans, great in blu ray, picture extream, This movie discribe with one word BRUTAL.

The director's cut runs approximately 3 minutes longer, and inserts a few new scenes, but no major plot points. This is NOT the major unrated cut that McG has referred to in past interviews, where he suggested that 30-40 minutes of additional footage would be added. We'll probably see that in a future edition.

The quality and super action is good to watch on blu ray. The movie definitely lacks the soul of the T1 and T2 but is definitely better that T3.

directors cut just contains one extended scene, should have probably put it as a deleted scene or something.

This was a great purchasing experience. I got exactly what I wanted in perfect condition. It also arrived in a timely fashion which was great since it was a gift.
