An interesting reason for purchase . . .Review created: 09/30/09

I already own the extended collector's edition of this DVD. The reason that I bought it for Blu-ray isn't just because of the fact that I recently bought a Blu-ray player.
An unknown factoid about Terminator 2 is that the movie contains the entire spectrum of THX certified sound. That doesn't mean that you'll notice any sound differences, but every sound is somewhat unique and crisp. One item to note: this feature is only available on the extended collectors version due to some scenes being left out in the theatrical version.
And overall, the movie is pretty great for its time. The fighting and effects are interesting, and the story is well worth the money. This is a great film to show off what your TV room or projection room is capable of.
