Term Limits by Vince Flynn (1999, Paperback, Reprint)

An excellent, action-packed thriller of espionage and political back-room manuevering. Mr. Flynn's character, senator Michael O'Rourke, is a former Marine and a freshman congressman with a backbone of steel and a strong moral compass. He holds the clues to the brutal murders of three of Washington's most powerful politicians. Overall, a great read ringing with a sense of realism that could be culled from the headlines of CNN (with a little imagining). I strongly recommend anything by Vince Flynn and look forward to each new release from him.

OUTSTANDING !!!!! After you read this first book of his series you are strongly compelled to read the rest of them. My only regret is that in reality this just couldn’t happen. It would be an Excellent wake up call to our over paid, self righteous, legalized crooks we have for idiot politicians!

My husband loves Vince Flynn's work and really like this book. I believe he said this was the introduction to a main character that he really likes and he was really glad that I purchased this book for him.

Congressmen are killed in Wasdington, DC. And your typical cast of characters from the CIA, FBI, NSA, NavySEALS, military special ops, are all trying to break the case. The Book's setting is pre 9/11 (1999) So the good thing about this novel as opposed to the ones we get today, is there is no reference to the Middle East, Iraq, or Iran. The anti-Middle East angle makes this 612 page thriller awesome. It was very well written, and by the standard test: It IS a page-turner. As a former Army man 1989-1992 I worked my way up to a good security clearance at Ft. Benning. Saying that, the words Vince Flynn writes, takes people into some situations as they would be there.

I stayed up all night reading it! Plenty of action and drama,and great character development. Can't believe this is Vince Flynn's first novel!

Great read. Sad to know that many of these activities continue to occur in D.C. today. I will read the rest of the series by Vince Flynn.

I decided to buy it because I like Vince Flynn and I've read everything that he has written excpt Term Limits. I would have preferred a Hardbound book but they are hard to find.

Vince Flynn is the premier counter-terrorism writer today. He doesn't pull any punches and tells it like is. We have people in this country who do whatever it takes to keep the rest of us safe from fanatics around the globe. Political correctness has it's place (I guess) but it's not a reasonable option when dealing with cold-blooded murderers.
I can't wait for then next one to come out!

This is without a doubt the best book I have ever read. Mostly because I feel so strongly about how corrupt the American government is. I found this book because I was telling my friend I wanted to assassinate corrupt politicians and he told me there was a book about it. Vince Flynn is an extremely creative author. He has an uncanny ability to make you think you are reading a piece of history, then you snap back to reality and realize its just a book. Just about anyone with a properly functioning brain and a minute interest in our government will have their entire outlook on politics changed forever.
