I found this book after reading The Da Vinci Code. I was enthralled from cover to cover and have found through this book, The Da Vinci Code and 1 other book that I am now a closet Templar conspiracy theorist.

Well written with good plot twists and suspense. Steve Berry is a gifted author with a special talent for suspense and history.

Historical fiction lovers will get plenty from this book. Suspense lovers will not be disappointed. There is even some blood for the horror fans. I guess the only people who wouldn't enjoy this are those that like romance novels.

This particular novel centers on the search for the Holy Grail and present day Knights Templar that exist in total secrecy. Cotton Malone, the main character, is pulled in to a plot of international intrigue when his former boss (from a secret government agency he retired from) turns up in his hometown and and has her purse stolen. When the man is pursued he commits suicide after uttering a latin phrase that is connected with the Knights Templar. Cotton must use his skills as a former government agent and his knowledge as a bibliophile to solve a riddle that is hundreds of years old. All the while, he is pursued by a sadistic man bent on eliminating him because he knows about the Templars.

Regardless of your tastes, Berry has written 4 novels on 4 different topics and all 4 are fantastic. Just look at the reviews for his other books and you can trust that you are buying a great book when you get this one.

This is an exciting book similar to Map of Bones and The Davinci Code. Another search for the grail with good guys and bad guys.

I thought this book was amazing, especially because at the end of the book the author tells you what part of the book was fact or fiction.

Good book, lots of suspense/mystery. Got to be a little far-fetched toward the end. Very similar to Dan Brown's novels on the subject, educational on historic facts.

The Templar Legacy by Steve Berry

Steve Berry writes a wonderful thriller, and this latest novel is no exception. From the first sentence of chapter one, I was hooked. I may have even been hooked in the prologue! Set in modern times, but woven with accurate historical facts and imaginative fiction, this tale is one of intrigue and mystery.

The characters are believable and Berry ends each chapter with the reader wanting to find out what happens next. I found the book difficult to put down, and I just could hardly wait to find out what happened. It kept me guessing clear through to the end, and I found it very satisfying indeed. The only thing was I didn't like being finished with it. Definitely the sign of a great book!

I expect many more exciting and rewarding thrillers from Mr. Berry. A fast paced, exciting novel filled with twists and turns. Highly recommend.

I am actually only about 1/2 way through the book and it reads similar to a Dan Brown novel. I am expecting a pretty good twist coming up because I have read other Steve Berry novels and he doesn't disappoint. Very good author. I recommend the read.

  Great Book!

I love mysteries that inter-wine historical sights events in their stories. This particular book does just that, but does it with such a vivid description that you feel that you have experience the sites yourself. I already own a copy of this book, and wanted to share such a great read with another family member who I knew would enjoy it.
