Before I read any of his work, I used to make fun of Sidney Sheldon. Looking back, I can't see why since I did like the movies based on his books such as "The Other Side of Midnight". Eventually, a hygienist that worked for me gave me this book to read and asked me to keep an open mind. I must admit, I liked it.
Like much of his work, Mr Sheldon goes to a great deal of trouble to research the main topic of this book. Though a completely fictional story, his narrative of medicine, law, and medical treatments is filled with verifiable facts. Personally, I like a fictional story that doesn't distort reality.
This story begins as a story about three women and in actuality is a story about three women while really only being about one of them. Confused? So was I in the beginning. It is a very suspenseful story and blows your mind at various points. I found myself loudly saying, "No way!" several times. I highly recommend it. I couldn't believe the ending...it was awesome.
