Basically the same game as 1 & 2, BUT RARER, still fun

This game isn't the easiest TMNT game to come across, so if you can get it in single digits you should grab it. It's not a bad game but just too much like it's predecessors to warrant high praise. The old TMNT are so much cooler than the new ones, how could they get rid of that song!!?!? This game brings it all back like it should be, a kids cartoon. You know, a little goofy, not all serious like the new ones. Overall it's relatively easy, because you have unlimited continues, and time wise the game is short. But let me tell you if I put this game on and my Son is anywhere near he goes crazy, the young ones love it. For what you can get this rare game for, especially compared to what it costs new, you should have no second thoughts.

What is better than TMNT 2 on the NES? TMNT 3 of course. This has to be one of my favorite games on the NES, it is one of those games that you never forget from when you were a kid.

What's there to say? If you like video games and weren't born post '95 you've probably played this game or at least remember older siblings doing so. A step up from it's predesessors in game-play and graphics. If you're like me and sentimental for the old days, I would absolutely suggest this title. If you're young and have no idea what I'm talking about when I say "cowabunga", I'd suggest picking up a copy of the first movie or the OLD t.v. series and brushing up on a true relic of late 80's early 90's childhood bliss.

  TMNT 3 NES Game
Review created: 02/08/09

I enjoyed the arcade game from this series and saw a third game. Had to have it. It is very similar to the second game and does not disappoint.

TMNT 3. Need I say any more. This is probably one of the best games for the NES ever made. I love the Turtles series, but this is by far the best.

  TMNT 3 Manhattan Project

Definately hands down the best ninja turtles game. A longtime childhood favorite of mine. I bought other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games in the past with the hope that they were this game. As soon as I would get home with the new game and begin to play it, I would soon be dissapointed. They made too many bad ninja turtle games, this is the good one for sure.

A rare buy that was SO worth it!
Review created: 04/28/08

This is an item that I've been looking for for a very long time. But every time I went to buy it, it was either overpriced or there was no picture of the item.

I saw this particular item once and it had no time left on it and I thought I would never see it again. But once it was relisted, I wasted no time buying. Not only was the total price of everything was only $19.00 I believe, plus the addition of the Nintendo Power was nothing less that awesome. The game and magazine was in perfect condition. The game played and my old and broken down NES, which was a miricle, the thing hardly plays anything. And the magazine still had the poster for the mystic ninja game in it!

If this guy has something that you are looking for, make sure that you get it. The fact that I got a $25 dollar game for only $7.50 speaks for itself!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3: The Manhattan Project

I really enjoy this game. Of the three TMNT titles released for the NES this one is my favorite. The graphics, and sound are exemplary, and the controls are fluid and without problems. If you were a fan of the Ninja Turtles in the 80s-90s, then you will love this game because it features a huge number of characters from the show. Leatherhead, Dirtbag, and Slash all make appearances, as well as many others. This game is a real treat to anyone who enjoyed the show, or even, most likely, to those who didn't.

I bought the three TMNT Super NES Games and my kids like the II an III games the best. Even after owning N64, XBOX and XBOX 360, they still enjoy going back to the original Nintendo system and playing these games.

  TMNT 3 Manhattan project game
Review created: 04/17/07

This is by far the best one of the three TNMT games for the original nintendo that were released. Don't get me wrong the other two were wonderful but this one was the cream of the crop. I remember when I first played this game as child and I found it much more entertaining, and easier by far, to play then the first two. Partially because of the of the controls. Yes the controls for this game were definitely superior to its predecessors, by means of allowing you more mobility and the ability to do special attacks(the previous two did not have any special features like this)which were unique for each turtle. This game was similar to the TMNT 1&2 games by means of the rest(lives) and continue features. TMNT 3 played in a similar way as well, but was given the ability for you to change the turtle of your choice after you lost a rest, to another turtle if you weren't happy with your present selection. This function was non-existent in the previous games, make this TOTALLY RADICAL DUDE!
When my mother sold the copy I original had I was sorry. So I bought a new copy 20 years later and am having the time of my life. So if you plan on buying any of these games then buy this one...unless your like me and are a collector of your childhood, then your gonna need them all!
COWABUNGA!

Pros:
Excellent use of 8-bit resources.

Cons:
The gameplay is similar to its predecessor.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III - The Manhattan Project Designed by Konami Released: 1992 Players: 1 or 2 As a young lad (and even now) I was very much into all things Turtles. Out of the three NES games, this one is my favorite and the most neglected or forgotten. Everyone knows about the first NES Turtles game, how it was adventure oriented, about the ability to switch turtles in game, etc. And everyone knows that the sequel, Turtles II: The Arcade Game changed everything - a sidescroll bash-um-up, no turtle switching. For the most part, The Manhattan Project has the same gameplay of its...

Turtles get a hold of an atomic bomb
Review created: 08/07/02
by: tommy_lop -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
good game

Cons:
game play is not that much differnt from turtles 2.

When it comes to all the ninja turtles games on the nintendo consoles, it s hands down that ninja turtles 3 is often the most overlooked but best game of the series. It s the most challenging and the one with the most depth (if can consider a ninja turtles game to have any depth that is), and I think it s the best in the series. Story. The turtles are taking a vacation in Florida, while they soak in the rays they keep up what s happening by tuning into Aprils news casts on TV. When their TV goes fuzzy Shredder appears and kidnaps April and then suspends Manhattan in the air. Now it s up to...
