Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nintendo, 1989)

What an awesome game to play!!!!!!!!!! You can be any of the Turtles and go through the game and fight crime. There are boss fights too such as the Shredder and many other characters. Great graphics for its time. Great gameplay too!!!!!!!!!

When I was a kid, I enjoyed playing this game. But what I also remember it was difficult ! Today, is hasn't gotten any easier. The game starts with 4 turtles; Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael. Your mission is to save April from shredder. Each Turtle has his own weapons with each their advantages and disadvantages. When you lose your life, the Turtle gets caught. When your 4 Turtles are caught, it's game over ! I gave this game a 4/5. It's a classic and a must have in your Retro collection. But the difficulty made "only" a 4

This game i remember as a kid, alittle confusing but definately a great add for any collector! I highly reccomend if your from the age of the NES to get ya a copy while they are still floating around!

I really love this game. When i decided to buy it on ebay i thought i would probably get a very old and used game that wouldn't work right. But i was totally wrong. The game itself is in great condition and it plays just like it did when i was little. I am really happy i decided to buy it and that i bought it from a great seller. It was at my door in notime and i have been playing it everyday since!

Fun action game with Ninja Turtles fighting enemies along the journey. Favorite of my adult sons. Extra one purchased so each one had a copy.

This is an old school TMNT game that appeared on the NES before the beat'em up versions. It isn't a horrible game, but it must be approached the right way and by the right kind of person. A person who enjoys the difficulty of Contra is much more likely to enjoy this than a person who enjoys the difficulty of Mario. And just like Contra, once you figure it out, it turns from an impossible game to an easy game.

Once you get used to the quirks, TMNT on the NES is quite enjoyable. You have to realize a few things first though.
1. Donatello generally makes progressing much quicker
2. Boomerangs make your life much easier.
3. Items make the other turtles much more useful.
4. Trying to kill every enemy is much more likely to get you killed than accomplish anything.

This was for my son who has "Autsum" Who can have this blast of the past to play without having to read through directions as newer games do. He doesn't speak, nor read. So this was a drop of happyness to buy and to give! usagal77 Va22655 7/09

i bought this game.. they took my money and never sent me the game... i had to write an email to get it back.. so i guess if i wouldn't off wrote the email they would of just kept my money and the game

Based on the hit cartoon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has players go up against Shredder and his Foot Clan followers. Leonardo's weapon are the Katana Blades, which makes it easy to strike far and fast. Raphael carries a Sai in each of his three fingered fast hands. His striking range is short but a little more powerful than Leonardo. Michaelangelo uses Nunchuks, and Donatello, a master of the Bo has some serious reach and power though he is a bit slow to strike. Unlike most games, rather than just give the plot at the beginning, here the story unravels throughout the adventure. First Shredder gets Beebop and Rocksteady to capture the Turtles friend April O'Neal. Once April is rescued it turns out that Shredder has set eight bombs around the local dam. The dam though was a ploy to lure the Turtles away from their lair so that Mechaturtle, another of Shredder's minions, could kidnap Splinter.

Classic NES game, not as good as TMNT 2 though...I dread having to play that damn first level every time.

This is a decent NES platformer, with lots of action and it is notorious for its difficulty level. One of the more interesting aspects is that you get to play as each of the Turtles as you go through your lives. Like I said, it is hard but worth picking up if you're a fan.

I like that you can play as any of the for TMNTs. The storyline is great. This is a fun game for all ages.

This original Nintendo game is a classic. It's fun to play and brings back memories of the 80's with us at at an arcade playing various versions of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A must have for NES collectors.

I hated this game so much as a kid because I couldn't beat it. I recently came across an old nintendo and when I saw this game, I had to buy it. Game works great and made me just as frusturated as it did before. If you are looking for a challenge, buy this game.
