Trouble?

Trouble in Tokyo is the first and thus far only animated movie done in the style of the Cartoon Network animated series which borrowed heavily from Japanese manga and cartoons... meaning heavily distorted and comic facial expressions, a distinct art style, and a sort of hyper-kinetic nature of things always being in motion. Many seem to like it, many others I've talked to don't care for it.
Done after the cartoon series was canceled this movie was meant to refocus on the Titans who were there in the beginning and resolve one of the major plots from the show: Robin and Starfire's flirtations with each other.
The movie is good on it's own and pays even further homage to the show's Japanese inspirations by actually moving the cast to Tokyo for this adventure. But it really doesn't seem grand enough to be considered it's own movie so much as an epilogue to the series.
If you like the series this is based on you'll like this movie which is good but doesn't stand up to the best episodes of the series.
If you're not familiar with the cartoon series this is based on, despite a solidly written story, it will be a hit or miss based on how well you like it's unique artistic style.
