Incendiary debut!

Ted Nugent's self-titled debut album rocked onto the shelves in 1975 and into rock and roll history. From the opening chords of the menacing-sounding Stranglehold, to Stormtroopin, What the Doctor Ordered to Motor City Madhouse, this album is absolutely a hardrocking guitar masterpiece. Dislike his politics or beliefs if you must, but you cannot deny Nugent's craftsmanship on this album. Teaming up with vocalist Derek St. Holmes, Nugent maniacally blazes away throughout. This album still holds up through 31 years, and the first 6 tracks are masterpieces all. Don't miss the sometimes forgotten Snakeskin Cowboys. The live tracks added on the end are even more frenetic, capturing Nugent ripping away in the arena.
Tracks 7-9 do not quite sustain the power encapsulated earlier in the album, but are far from throwaways. For great hard rock albums of the 70's, rank this one up there with Aerosmith Rocks and Van Halen's debut amongst others. Highly, highly recommended!!!
