Tecmo Classic Arcade (Xbox, 2005)

okay, in all honesty i'm just writing this review because some of the ratings its received are unfair. for those of you who aren't familiar, this is a collection of old 1980's arcade games. ....from the 1980's. the graphics are "bad" because that's just how they looked 20 years ago. Xbox isn't collecting these games again so that you can be blown away with amazing state of the art graphics and sound, but because they're FUN and you can't find these games any more. they shouldn't be left to fade into the past. to give it a low rating based on its looks is like saying a classic movie is bad because its in black and white.

so, anyway, this disc comes with 11 games by tecmo:

tecmo cup
and senjyo

a nice collection of sports, fighting, action/platform, and puzzle games- there's something for everyone. good for 1 to 4 players, and its good for all ages, with only minor violence. you should be able to find this for under $10 on ebay or at a gaming store, its worth it. with 11 games in one disc, there's bound to be at least one that will keep you playing for hours on end.

Well first it tells you to insert a coin just like a "real" arcade game. That was funny! The graphics are not that good, actually a bit annoying. There are a lot of choices of games on the one disc. all in all the game systems have come a long way baby!! especially since the old school arcade graphics and action or lack of action. Not really a recommend for anyone who is not looking for walk down memory lane. Not for a serious new world gamer!

I'm hooked hard on a couple of the games we all grew up playing. I can sit for hours again playing Solomon's Key, Tecmo Bowl, and Pinball Action. Solomon's Key has to be one of the all time video games as far as the 80's are concerned!

The best thing of course is you just hit the X button on your controller instead of walking around with a bunch of quarters in your pocket :)

I thought this game looked fun. When I played it, I thought it was boring. Like a cheap 80's arcade game.

I left a good review for this seller and would take it back if I could. I played the game once and not to long after, it stopped working. I thought it might have been my system but I was informed by a video game specialist that the game was beyond worn out. Avoid this person!!! He sells old crap.
