I enjoyed playing this game on Nintendo and my Gameboy in college. I was glad to see it in Nintendo DS format. I am sure it will bring me many hours of enjoyment.

) I used to love the vintage Tecmo Bowl, and this game is pretty close. I miss the old Tecmo Bowl music, which would have made it more of a throwback for me. It still has fictional teams, which can be edited. It still has those plays that can't be stopped, too ;-} Overall, I give this game a 8/10, with a replay value after a month of 7/10. You can't play this all the time...You need some Madden here and there, too!

Great Game, Brings Back Great MemoriesWhat I like about Tecmo Bowl is its simplicity. Anyone can play the game and understand the rules. I decided to purchase this game because I had such a great time playing it as a child and I wanted to play it again along with my son. Hopefully he will enjoy it as much as I. The only con to this game is that it does not have a true NFL license but that is easily corrected since you can change the name of the teams.

) I used to play Tecmo Bowl when I was a kid and loved it. It was the best football game at the time. There was something oh so addictive about it. When I heard it was on Nintendo DS, I had to get it. Now I relive my childhood through this game. It is not as challenging as the current Madden games but it is sweet. The person who sold it on Ebay delivered it fast. I appreciate that!

If you played Tecmo Bowl as a kid, it's back. There is no NFL licensing to go with this version. Thank you EA! But the game is the same. It's just like when you played it at as a kid. Now if you grew up in the Madden era, you're going to hate this game. As in the original Tecmo games, you pick a receiver by scrolling through the receivers. If you grew up in the Madden era, this will drive you nuts (whipper-snappers). If you want a history lesson or a quick and dirty game of football on the move, Tecmo is the game for you.

Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff (Nintendo DS)Mu husband loves this game! He loved it when it first came out years ago and said that this one is just as good as before! Its easy to play, the graphics are great, and he loves it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to play football games. Or lives with someone who does!

The game looks and plays like the Tecmo Super Bowl game for the SNES, only without the NFL license. I can't say I miss the NFL license as I was able to convert the generic teams into NFL lookalikes as well as player names easily. The only problem I had with the game is the running game. YOUR BACKS ARE TOO SLOW!! Despite editing my players with a high emphasis on speed, I still had trouble breaking long runs as the defense moved like Bambi, darting around my blockers like they weren't there to tackle me.
I would only recommend this game if you're a fan of T-Bowl, otherwise move on as most likely you played this game nearly 20 years ago.
