Techniques of Speed Hypnosis by Edsel (Hardcore) (CD, Oct-1995, Relativity)

At the time of release of this Epic Album, I really don't think the immense impact this band would make in the Underground/Post Hardcore/Post Punk/Independent/Alternative Music scene. Having toured with the likes of Jawbox tells you of the very critical type of urgency that was needed for music to be played out live and more so be thought about in song structure while executing each piece night after night with precision and emotion. Techniques of Speed Hypnosis is that kind of album, that seems to tell a story as the tracks gradually build , let's the music speak for itself, but more importantly, leaves you with a sense of wanting to accomplish something as great as Geoff, Steve, Steven, and Sohrab did in 1995, way ahead of what "POP Groups" "Weaser and Green Day" could have wished to have ever done to date. This is simply a Must Have in any record collection as this is a out of print at this writing and the musicians on this record certainly captivated the true essence of song structure , versatility , and out of the box vision, Thanks for making this album one of the most memorable of soundtracks to my life. I decided to purchase this record again for the third time, because I jumped at the chance when I saw it on ebay and quite frankly, the price was right. This can , I guess be called an anthem of what most people would Slackerock, but in my eyes, ears, heart mind and soul, This is a Masterpiece, Cheers.
