Technique by New Order (Cassette, Jan-1989, Qwest)

I have been the biggest new Order Fan ever since High school when I discovered them in the "Hole punched through Cover corner" Bargain "get it outta here for $.50" ( that's right fifty Cents) 33 - 1/3 LP and Maxi Singles". I took a chance and Was amazed. I bought them in an Armed Forces AAFES PX and I reckon that they did not sell very well to the Soldiers there in Germany, they were all into Iron Maiden and Def Leppard and Priest. More than 20 years later I still Find new things that I didn't notice before on all the New Order Vinyl and tapes I have collected. if you want technical Lin Drum and the perfect mix of Synth and Guitars and Hooky's Lyrical Bass, New Order is perfect for you. The sound is so unique and often copied by other bands. Peter Hook's Bass is what attracted me to the New Order Sound. I honestly thought it was a regular Guitar, and no doubt Mr. Hook still thinks it is too. Buy this album on LP 33 - 1/3 and or Cassette, Like I did because there is no Subsitute for that Softer edged Analog sound, Play the CD and then listen to the LP version of this album and you will see what I mean, ummmmm, Mo' Bettah.
