Technics SA-DX930 5.1 channel 500 Watt Receiver

Never a had good receiver this one works very well. Movies are much different
with a good surround sound

Technics former top of the line receiver, these hold up extremely well. I own two of these. One is set up for my whole house system (with appropriate speaker splitter/selector) Thats were you really get the advantage of the 500 watts. The other is set up in my rec room driving a sony surround system. Yep the Technics sounded better than the higher priced Sony.

Ive been using Technics, Sony and Yamaha reveivers for decades now (showing my age a little) and for the money, Technics outperforms most others in its bang for the buck.

The only problem I have ever had was: once, the loud bass would cause the system to shut off for a few seconds. It has a thermal protection system.
The problem was actually a loose soldering connection. Once soldered it rocks with no cutouts.

As an avid Jazz and Fusion lover, quality of sound has always been more important than quantity. These slightly older, heavier, receivers simply put are best for this type of listeneing.

Great receiver !! It is the best of Technics (I suposse !!) It is a little bit hot (when it is going on in a low sound) but when you put it loud, it comes normally fresh !! I am very happy with it. Great oportunity at a low price. I reccomend it!!

I decided to buy this product because I already had built a home theater subwoofer and needed a receiver to pair with it. The receiver has plenty of inputs with digital inputs included as well, it also has plenty of power to suit my needs. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that it did not come with a remote.
