awesome book for engineers. gives great illustrations on how to write proper memos, emails, and resume help.

I ordered a book and rec'd email that it would not be mailed for several days and would be rec'd much later than I needed it. I imedialty tried to contact seller to please cancel the order because i needed it sooner than he could ship it. I tried to contact him with in the hour of placing the order. So at lunch that day I took a train and went to my daughters college to purchased the book. When I got back from lunch I had the email that he mailed it. My opinion is that he couldn't mail it as quickly as I needed it until I told him to cancel it. And suddenly he mailed it & never responded to me. So I was stuck with 2 books. Oh well, he got his money & I felt that was all he cared about.

I bought this book for a summer class. The book has great information for citations. So far I have enjoyed this book with about half of the semester to go!

Purchased it for online school course, recieved it very fast and in good condition. Great book, easy to read. Has many examples, & good graphics. Have learned a lot from the material. Will defintely keep for future reference.

this book is suppost to be about technical and professional writing but is not clear and is hard to study.

This book is very helpful in many ways. It can teach you how to write essays or something very simple like typing an e-mail to a coworker

This book is very easy to read and it states every important aspect of technical writing in a simple format. There are a few paragraphs that are a little unnecessary, but they are easy to skim over. I like having the reference guides in the appendix. This makes it easy to look up how to write something.

I bought this book specifically for my technical writing class. I like the set up of the text book, and it is easily readable.

I disliked the fact that i was unable to get the refund for the purchase in which the seller could not provide. I decided to buy it because it was convinient.

This book was required for my summer class. I did learn a lot of information from this book, but it seemed to drag on in some chapters. Also, there aren't very many examples that you can go by, so I had some difficulties with the assignments.

Wrong edition needed for class. I needed the 8th, this was the 7th. Fast cancellation and refund of orderCheaper than the college books stores. best way to purchase college books. I wish I would have known about this way to purchase books my Freshman and Sophmore year. At least now my children can utilize this way of purchasing college books and save money for themselves. Lastly, higher returns for selling this way as opposed to selling at "Buy Back" on campus.

This book is great for reference or if you've never learned the basics, for showing you the elementary aspects of technical writing. It does not emphasize any particular technical field, and thus is able to address a more general audience.

Things you will learn in this book: how to write abstracts, summaries, memos, emails, technical reviews, and more.

The book was required for a college online course. The professor did not follow the order of chapters but assigned reading according to his syllabus. "Technical Communication" is a great guide and resource that I will keep handy after the course is over.

My project was writing about culture and the arts. The examples used in the book are almost exclusively traditional business related (manufacturing and corporate administration). I found them somewhat tedious because there was no real help in them for my profession.

The companion Web site was very helpful, although none of it was assigned in the course. I was surprised to learn that the technical writing profession covers informational, detailed and often illustrated writing, not simply writing about science and technology directly.

Bought this for my Writing for Professionals class. Came in good condition and quickly as well. Very useful because it's easy to read and also can be used for future references.
