Teacher's Pet (DVD, 2005)

Enjoyed this movie. It is very funny and I laughed so hard it hurt my stomach. It is good to see a move that is not violent and not sexually explicit. The movied today are so warped and makes you feel depressed. Even the so called funny movies make sex or severe violence the center and I get sick and tired of this kind of movie. The world is depressed enough. We need movies like they made back in the 50 and 60's. We need to laugh and be lighthearted.

This is a GREAT movie. I highly recommend seeing it if not buying it for your own collection. Doris Day and Clark Gable work great together. It's a classic romantic comedy. You won't be sorry.

I bought this movie because I had seen it before and wished to review it. This is a story about two people at the opposite extreme of views about journalism and how each changes the other.

I have always liked Clark Gable and thought his acting here was superb. He has to question himself about why he thinks the way he does....very well done. Doris Day, too, must rethink her position, not only about her father as a journalist, but how that influenced her thinking.

Of course, the motivating factor of change....is romance.

Being a college professor, I liked seeing the pros and cons being emphasized on going to college or getting on-the-job training. AND THE ACTORS WERE GREAT! Doris Day, Clark Gable and Gig Young are not from my generation,but are some of the BEST characters of all time.

I like Clark Gable and Doris Day...great actors and the movie was funny.Most of all the older movies the actors have passed on.When I see this one I had to have it...wish they had more like it.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. Clark Gable and Doris Day are great together. Strong themes and players. Has a great blend of humor, truth, and good old american values of hard work and integrity. Great for teaching a class on ethics and business.

I love this movie. Good old fashioned humor and wit. I enjoy the "good" movies with humor and wit and romance. This is an excellent offer from Clark Gable and Doris Day. Very predictable but lovely.

Very clever script with comedic touches and some physiological undertones, that keeps the viewer entertained and amused.
A news paper editor “Clark Cable” who has no formal education despises all journalists with a college education, including Erica Stone “Doris Day”, who invites him to give a lecture in her journalism class. He refuses to attend and writes Erica an insulting letter.
The story evolves from here, and when the editor meets the lovely teacher, he is smitten and pursues her pretending to be a student.
Gig Young “Who received an Academy award nomination for the role” gives a very funny performance as a brilliant professor, who brings together the love birds.
