Someone gave me this book because I love tea parties and often throw tiny tea parties for my nieces. In general, because of the vintage style cutesy illustrations, I'd recommend this gift for grandmothers or great-aunts, people over age 50 mostly.
It's full of cute illustrations of children, flowers, teapots, and gardens. It really has an old fashioned country air to it.
The recipes are simple to follow, and there are cute craft ideas and decor suggestions for parties. Charming colorful drawings illustrate the craft ideas.
Through this book you can get ideas for a teddy bear tea party, a Valentine tea, Tea by the Sea, a Japanese tea party, a full-moon tea party, a garden tea party, a rainy day party, and learn how to make fancy cakes and little sandwiches.
The book is interspersed with cute quotes from children's rhymes, too.
