This movie takes place in 1930's wartime (WWII) italy and is about a group of women from other country's trapped as political prisoners in Italy, and how they survive against all odds... Cher shows she still diserves that Oscar of hers and Maggie Smith is great!!

) Good movie for a WWII buff. Cher is good and Judi Dench plays and different role for her. Beautiful scenes of the Italian countryside and Italy before and during the war. I am glad I found this movie again. Storyline is good and fast paced.

) I love Cher and think she is super in this movie. Her co-stars are awsome too and the movie is a great story. I just had to add it to my collection. Its a great movie to watch to feel better and just to see another time and place perfectly done by Cher and others. Its a gem.
