TaylorMade r7 cgb MAX Single Iron Golf Club

I bought the Taylor Made r7 cgb Max Approach Wedge to help improve my game. The various distances for my wedge play had a "gap" between the pitching wedge and the sand wedge. This new Approach wedge gives me the distance I needed between the other two. For me, the Approach wedge is perfect for the 100 - 110 yard shots.

I chose the Taylor Made r7 cgb Max to match my other irons. All the irons in my bag are also the Taylor Made r7 cgb Max irons. All of my irons, including this new Approach wedge have the stock graphite shaft, in stiff flex. Most individual wedges by Taylor Made and other manufacturers have steel shafts. I really prefer the lighter weight shaft made of graphite for all my clubs. That helped me decide to get this wedge as well as the other wedges in my bag.

These are the best irons I have ever played. From the 3 iron all the way through the set, including the lob wedge, have helped to improve my iron game.
My distance control as well as straighter shots to the target has certainly gotten better with these new irons. I would recommend to anyone looking to improve their iron game to try the Taylor Made r7 cgb Max irons. If you prefer steel shafts instead of graphite, that is available.

I wanted to test this iron with my normal routine playing and to see if it truely made a difference. I think testing the irons is the best way to check performance. I do this so I do not buy the whole set ans get disappointed.
I had the same irons for the last 4 years great irons not the same brand but great irons. I used the same irons on the same shots and time after time I was getting another 20 yards out of this r7 cgb Max. I am now looking to get the whole set and play them. These are great irons.

The new r7 series gives all levels of golfers a lot of choices and I'd rate all of them good. I bought this to compare the CGB with the r7 and the r7 draw. I got the chance to hit these clubs at the local pro-shop on their driving range and just wanted to have an opportunity to use the club on the course and see how it and I performed.

The CGB is a little fatter on presentation than the r7 and I much prefer the looks of the r7, especially the shaft. But the CGB is a very forgiving club, easy to hit, it goes where you aim it, reduced my slice into a nice fade. All in all it's a really nice, albeit expensive club.

Turns out that the loft of the CGB's is quit different than that of the r7's. Take that into consideration when deciding which set of clubs to purchase. It seems that club manufacturers are diddling with the lofts they use. Each set of clubs in their line may be slightly different.

This is probably the easiest iron I've ever hit. The ball flies of the face in a high and straight flight. I bought the rest of the set.

I like the club. exactly what I wanted. and at a great price. I had bought a set of taylormade r7 irons 4-pw on ebay, but it didnt it didnt come with a sand wedge. so I bought one.

It was a fantastic deal. One shaft would cost more than that retail. I was considering buying a set of these irons. I wanted to try them out to see if I liked them before buying the whole set. A set of these irons retail for about $1200.00. For $27. I get to try them for as long as I need to before buying the set. I bought one set of irons and did not like them. I then had to resell them and toke a loss of over $100.

Smooth swing yields longest, straightest shots I've ever made with a 6 iron. Stiff graphite shaft is just right. Now if I could just find a 7, 8, 9, PW to match I'd have it made.

In three transactions I purchased a set of Taylor irons. I live in a rural area so selection is limited. The time and trouble to travel navigate around the metro area is a pain. This method of purchasing suits me perfectly. The transaction process is fun, the products were as described and my experence was excellent. I may never go to the metro area again and enjoy shopping again.

I spend a lot of time on Ebay, browsing,researching,etc. After a lot of bidding, research, I decided to purchase this golf club from golf exchange. The price was fantastic, and the reputation and quality of Taylormade golf clubs needs no explanation. Anyway, the golf club arrived in 6 days in rural South Australia, all the way from the US. So I was stoked. I have already tested the club, I'm feeling very satisfied with the purchase.

I am in the process of purchasing a new set of irons and having the ability to purchase just one and try it was appealing to me. I do know that Taylormade has even a newer version in the works, but this was the one set that I wanted to try. Pro shops have demo clubs, but you never get a chance to place it in your bag and use it for a long time. this club was awesome. Although the specs are not exactly correct for me, it is long and very easy to hit. I have had some problems getting enough height on my current irons, but no problem here. It is a great club for the mid handicap golfer!

I love this club, it has added good yardage to my mid-iron clubs!! I am now looking to buy more of the same kind seeing how well this one worked out for me. I would recommend this club to anybody who uses irons more than woods. A great buy!!

I have used the TaylorMade CGB irons before and they are very forgiving and great for folks who are beginning to take up the game. I've since changed my irons but have opted to get the TaylorMade r7 CGB 3 Iron. It is nearly as easy to hit (like a hybrid) and is a great transition club for those who would like to improve their swing with the long iron, especially the 3I. Although I do not hit the CGB 3I as far as I would hit with a hybrid equivalent, there are situations on the golf course where a traditional 3I club would be a great club choice vs. a hybrid. I now carry both the 3 Hybrid and the r7 CGB 3I.

This is exactly what I was wanting. The gap wedge completes my set and gives me a 100 yard club. Received within a week from purchase.

The Taylormade r7 cgb max irons are an excellent club. The ball comes of the face with considerable added distance compared to my old irons. They're weighted light overall without sacrificing feel. While the club has a thicker topline, it looks good to my eye at address and promotes confidence.

It was as advertized, maybe better. I needed a 7 iron replacement and since the other irons in bag were not new, decided for a like new condition used.Time to arrive could be shorter. However the good condition of the iron compensate this litlle issue. Good vendor.

Great club help me hit the ball nice and straight every time. the TaylorMade clubs are a great addition to any golfers bag, regardless of how often you play. The difference is noticable on the first swing get one and try it for yourself
