TaylorMade r7 XD Iron set Golf Club

I'm 51 years old and have lost some distance over the years. Since switching to these TaylorMade r7 XD irons I have gained a club in length again. Plus these irons aren't super huge, and I can work the ball in either direction. I'd give these irons a very high rating in every catagory. Feel is superb, distance is awesome, workability is great, and they look great at address. I have tried the Mizuno MX-23 irons, Ping G2, and i5 irons, TaylorMade OS, LT, & r7 CGB MAX irons. I have to say that I like the r7 XD irons better than all of them. I would also rate the r7 XD graphite shafts to be as good or better than any of these others.

i placed my order and it came 32 days latter after much emails and trouble,the set of clubs finally came and were not what i ordered.they are knockoffs of the real thing.i sent a report to paypal and have heard nothing,i emailed the seller and have heard nothing.this is my first ebay experience and am deeply disapointed,needless to say i will never do this again and am certainley telling my freinds how i got ripped off.i guess im stuck with junk, there is definitely a lesson here,from now on ill buy from reputable vendors.

I'm a 62 yr. old golfer - playing now 40 years- and these are the best set of irons I've ever played! Could never play graphite shafts before this set. My 1st round was a 73 (normally high 70's)-
Clubs are very forgiving for off center hits - and 1 or 2 clubs longer- good ball flight and can be worked left or right. Some of my buddies have them and these clubs will cover the whole spectrum of handicappers.
I bought these on Ebay from a reputable golf store at a huge discount from retail. I had previously bought a set of these on Ebay from an individual- they were counterfeit, but Paypal reimbursed, I was out the return shipping which was substantial - So BE CAREFUL WITH THE SELLER - USE A VOLUME SELLER WITH A LOT OF FEEDBACK would be my recommendation.

Though not exactly what we thought we were buying the clubs arrived in good condition but much later than anticipated. The grips were not original but were replaced with a good quality grip. I have enjoyed the purchase.

I've been playing Mizuno forged blades for a number of years. I always loved how they felt, but since I play a lot less than I used to, I found myself loosing distance and especially on miss hits. I hit my friends r7 xds and loved how they felt. They are lofted stronger and the ball comes off the club face quite a bit hotter. Still love the forged blade, but the taylor mades are much more forgiving and will help me as I age. I'm a 10 handicap and they have already helped my game

I recommed these clubs for anyone looking for a forgiving club and where the ball explodes off the face of the club!

All I can say is "I LOVE EM.", great swing weights, nice looks , great feel, and most of all they are longer than my old set of Taylor Made Oversize Burner Bubble Irons that I Played with for years and thought they were the best thing since sliced bread.I guess updating doesn't have to be scarey if you do a little research. Bought from a great E-Bay seller. Very happy.

I purchased these clubs hoping that it would help me bring around the club face better than I already did when striking the ball. It helped. These clubs are great and have good feeling when you hit the ball. I noticed also that these clubs don't dig into the ground as much as my previous set of irons. This is a good thing for me because sometimes I extend my arms too much and I hit more earth than golf ball. These clubs helped that. When using these clubs and swung correctly, the ball will draw on its downward flight. I love the clubs. I would recommend these clubs

I left the game for over 10 years and just recently fell in love with it again. One thing I noticed is that I don't have near the distance I used to have 10-15 years ago. Big surprise! That's one thing the aging process will do to you. Anyway, I decided I needed to update my old Axiom II irons and after a lot of research, I decided on a set of R7 XD irons. Even with these XDs I still can't hit the PW 135 yards like I used to, or use my 9 iron off the tee for a 150 yard par 3 (well, I could, but I wouldn't reach it). I have, however, gotten some of the distance back. Yes, I know it's because they have a stronger loft, but they feel great, are very forgiving and they look great in my bag.
These are some very sweet clubs, and it's too bad TaylorMade discontinued this model in favor of the more profitable Burner XD line. They have a very solid feel and look proper at address. I tested a lot of different irons before buying, but these were the ones for me at this point in my game. They're restoring a lot of confidence when standing over the ball.

Why dont you people who have been ripped off mention the sellers name. You are not helping any of us by neglecting to do this

Excellent clubs all around. They feel great, look great, and have increased my range from day 1 of using them. Confidence boosters.

I wanted to change clubs and have been looking for the r7 xd graphite irons all winter and decided it was time and I got a good price and they were brand new! They are LONGER than my Callaways x18 Pro Series graphites.

The clubs feel lite, yet they produce more distance than any other set of clubs I have ever tried before! Not only that but the soft feel of these irons was not expected from the titanium face. If I had to nit pick to find one flaw in the clubs it is the decrease in spin on the short irons, I am no longer able to spin the ball back with my 8i-PW. However, since the irons are so much longer the need for increased spin is not there and it is easy to use the softest of balls to help around the green. Overall, this is by far the best set of irons I have ever owned and only regret is that I didn't act sooner!

I already own a set of these clubs but I liked it so much that I decided to
buy a second set. They are easy to hit and I hit them about a club longer than
than other sets

Very good irons. Low irons fly straight, high irons seem to draw even though they are not draw irons. I have a natural draw and need to use a fade swing to counter the draw so the ball flies straight. Aesthics wise don't plan on keeping the irons scuff free for very long the polished chrome.

I purchased a set of golf clubs. The very next day, I get an email telling me that ebay has suspended sales by the vendor from whom I purchased. It seems that someone in China fraudulently took over the account of ebay's American vendor. It was too late for me. The transaction had been completed. Everyone ducked and ran for cover-ebay took no responsibliity, their vendor took no responsibility, and Paypal palmed the problem off onto MasterCard. So much for good customer relations.

I rate this purchase as excellent because these golf clubs are exactly like the ones i had seen in the pro shop but for a lot less money.

Sometimes i get into an impulse buying mood and this is not good to do with certain items especially when bidding on ebay.

I suggest you look at an identical product locally in your area and then once you have decided on what you like go ahead and search for it on ebay.

I have purchased a few things and have had success every time.

don't like they are fake will not buy from ebay again. was told to go through paypal and they didn't help because they sent fake clubs. They came from japan could not leave a bad reveiw because ebay took them off ebay but I think they are on still selling fake clubs under a differnt name .

I won the bid for Taylormade R7-XD irons. It's been awhile since I used Paypal so they took a while due to some new security checks on my credit card, but it was all done within the time frame to make payment. After I got confirmation that the payment went through, the communication from the seller was very bad. I had to ask to cancel the order because they took too long. They used some laim excuse that I gave a used an address that was not varified.

I already play with the clubs and they are really good, in excelent shape, in excelent conditions for the set and to play golf

The pic posted on ebay is not what I recieved,the clubs were a knock off of the real thing,I went to dicks sporting goods to compare and the ones' on their shelf are a lot nicer,smoother cuts and no jagged edges on the casting.

I've been using the r7 XD's now for about 2 months. It did take about 4 rounds to get accustomed to the irons.. My distance from using some Cobra irons improved approx 10 yards on every iron.. I would recommend this set for any golfer that has a handicap from 5-18.
Mid 2007, brand new, a set should run around $400 brand new.
