This purchase seemed like a good deal and prompted me to buy a second set of higher quality. After reading other reviews of people getting fake clubs I called the TaylorMade 800 number to see if the serial numbers on the sets were in their system. They were not. The sellers response was a weak excuse that whoever they got them from for resale failed to send the serial number to TaylorMade. They offered to take them back for an exchange and not a refund.I requested the seller take the serial number and find out why it was not registered which they refused and stated that they don't sell fakes. All I got from TaylorMade was if you purchased them on Ebay they were probably fake. Based on this frustrating experience I probably will never buy any more golf clubs on Ebay. Based on the large amount of previous reviews similar to this that I read this is a real problem for this product. The club mfgr's don't seem to care if you don't buy them through their official retailers.

My Irons and me comming together as one !!

I'm probably getting 15 to 20 yds longer with these irons. My other irons were a top brand too so I didn't think these would do that much for me. Boy was I surprised.I have to a 9 where I was using a 7 or 8 before. I'm just getting to know my didtances now and am very comfortable with them.I bought them on Ebay and I didn't realize that they were set up for draw but I am adjusting well.THe price was right so I bought them and am very happy with them !!!

I am a 16 handicap and still is.............
Haven't produced a draw yet.................
You may say its my golf swing. Tried all setup and stance.

Oh yea! Easy to mis-hit in getting ball in the air.

And in closing. You will not see a rating like tis a lot because
it maybe telling the truth. Take your chance and see for yourself.

I did! :(

The occasional shank is a deal breaker

I've played 10-15 rounds with these. Mine have steel, stiff shafts.

Pros:

Definitely reduced my slice.
Nice balance, not too head heavy.
Solid hits produce straight, long shots.
They're pretty!

Cons:

They tend to want set up closed faced and can hit the ball straight to the left at times.
I've shanked a few pitch shots with these and that's not normal for me. I wonder if having more weight closer to the heel doesn't encourage a strike closer to the shaft, especially on easy swings.

Wrong type and not what I ordered
Review created: 06/02/07

The golf clubs that I received were not the type that I ordered and were missing one club. Since I told eBay that I received the clubs, my claim was closed and I am now unable to submit another claim on this purchase with eBay.

A very dissatified customer with, currently, no means of resolution.

  R7 draw irons.....WOW

These clubs are an excellent choice for the "15-25 handicaper". I converted over from an older set of PING EYE 2s. The Taylor Made irons have a very crisp feel, and seem to promote a lot of spin. When I hit it well, they have a great feel and the ball carrys VERY well. I am a novice level player, and these clubs are great form me....

  r7 Draw Irons

These clubs are fantastic. I hit a several different irons before I decided on these, including the Ping g10 and Cobra s9 II, etc., and decided on these because of the "draw" bias. I've always had problems pushing my irons right. Not slicing, just straight to the right 10 yards or so on 50% of my shots. Though I'm not drawing my shots, these are the straightest irons I've ever hit, period. I was afraid of the "delofting" in the new clubs but these have a nice launch, good trajectory, at 5-10 yards longer than my old irons (also oversize with regular flex graphite). I love these clubs.

  Taylot Made r7 Draw

These clubs are very nice and they have a great feel. They are a little difficult to get used to at first since they are weighted towards the heel of the club but once you go to the rangs and play a round you will develop the feel of the club and then they become very easy to hit. I really like the gap wedge (a wedge) it is smooth and gets under the ball quickly with a nice roll. I have not been able to produce a consistent draw but i have been hitting the ball straight and my distance has increased by about 10-12 yards on every club in my bag. I would definately recommend these clubs for anyone looking to lower their score and hit more consistent shots. They would be great for the player who can only get out and play a couple times a month and who shots in the mid 80's and above. Highly recommended great clubs they will improve your game but be patient.

Great Set-Replaced my Nike ProCombos :)

I paid 360 for this set and LOVE it! I played a round the day after I got the set and was amazed. I hit my 5 iron 190 with this set , 175-180 before. Hit the 4 iron 205 STRAIGHT twice in a row, and right then I knew my purchase was a wise one. Never had a bad shot, not much draw though, but STRAIGHT all day. Not as much feel in the high irons as the Nikes I was hitting, but the forgiveness is amazing.
I shot an 80 the first day i played these, my best ever. Had a few 82s before, but thought i might get in the 70s, but the putter kept that from happening :(
I love them.

have the r7 draws with the 55g reax shaft reg flex. I am a 64 yr old male and can't swing as fast as I used to. Have ping Eye 2's in the garage and an old set of lynx masters.2 sets 30 yrs so i don't switch around a lot.I hit these 10 yards further than I have ever hit an iron and they swing like a feather.Didn't really want a correction club but I mis-hit a couple at the shop and the simulator showed very little difference. Have basically found the same on the course. The draw is not great as I was Worried a bit, I hit a fade for many years and liked it. go to your pro shop and try them you may love them as much as I do. Bought them on e-bay and had them veriified at local sporting goods as recommened by taylor made. hope this helps someone.

I'm very happy with these clubs. I have been trying out both Callaway and Taylor Made and felt the r7 was the best for me. I'm an occasional player, but living in AZ,I play all year. In the brief amount of time I've had them, I'm already dropping strokes. I don't want to get too confident but I enjoy the game a lot more now.

TaylorMade r7 Draw Iron set Golf Club

I am very satisfied with my new r7 draw irons. I developed a little bit of a slice with my previous blades, but the heel weighted r7's made it considerably easier to correct my swing. I didn't automatically hit a draw shot right out of the box but with practice i quickly developed a dead straight to a slight draw. These clubs have drastically changed my game and the way I approach difficult greens. Thank You.

Awesome buy for high handi golfers , very impressed

I've only been playing for about 6-7 months with a decent set of hand-me-downs. I finally decided to try to improve my game (lessons, practice etc..) I figured what better way to start the confidence off then with a nice set of clubs. I already owned the TM R7 Draw Driver before purchasing this set. I've played a few rounds since receiving these. I love them, very very forgiving, great all around. I haven't quite got the draw down but definitely hitting straight instead of slicing and pushing. I couldn't have asked for a better set. High handicappers definitely go with these.

I started golf 2 yrs ago with an inexpensive set (mistake). I wish I had bought this upgrade first. All the clubs swing the same so it has made it a lot easier developing a consistent swing. I would recommend this set as a good beginner set. Don't waste your money on low end sets; purchase a set like this and learn good habits from the get go. I've gained at least 10 to 20 yrds with this set and am not hitting off to the right as much as as used to.

  My first "good" irons
Review created: 10/04/07
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I am very happy with my new r7 draws. I was using my grandfather's old set, probably about 15 - 20 years old. I was hitting well, but slicing somewhat consistently and not getting the distance I ought to.

These irons have really helped me to learn how to hit the ball better. I slice less, feel more "in touch" with the ball and with my swing, and feel a lot more confidence about ball trajectory and distance control.

They are heavier than I expected, so when I first started, I was grounding quite a bit, or even whiffiing. But having played 5 or 6 rounds with then, my golf has improved quite a bit. I am enjoying gold more, and getting onto a lot more greens in regulation.

Great clubs!

Purchase of the r7 draw irons
Review created: 08/05/07
by:
3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

I purchased the r7 draw irons based on a golf magazine review and test of all major brands. The review stated that the r7 irons were the most user friendly for high handicappers like myself with a large "sweet spot" as well as being weighted to minimize slicing and promote (in a very slight way)a draw shot. I still hit some slices, but the clubs are definately more forgiving when mis hit. I am very pleased with the purchase.

I tried some of these clubs as a test and really liked them. The price here was quite a bit higher than what I wanted to spend. I looked on Ebay and found them and saved quite a bit of money. They are very nice. The seller shipped quickly and answered my questions quickly. I am very satisfied I bought them.

These irons are exactly what I needed. It's nice to watch the ball move right and then glide right back online before landing. Great contact and great feel. They still get distance on mis-hits, but they let me know. These irons are perfect for improving your game.

Great price TaylorMade r7 Draw Iron set Golf Club
Review created: 10/21/08

2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I recieved the clubs yesterday and had to golf. They are a great set of irons. The clubs are well balanced and feel lighter than my old taylormades. The clubs came well packaged and in factory plastic. I'm delighted with the way they feel and can't wait to use them more. I decided to buy these clubs because I have owned taylormade clubs and wanted to upgrade to the r7. Shopping around for a set the price was great. Over a hundred dollars less than the same set other places.

  Best Clubs Ever
Review created: 09/03/08
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I have been playing for over 47 years and for the last 20 I have had Taylor Made clubs, I replaced my set of bubble 2s with these r7 Draw irons and my handicap has dropped from an 18 to a 14 and that is where I was ten year ago so you can say they have taken me back to my 50s. I normally fade the ball and these have straighten out my shots.
