  Another Success Story

I buy and sell clubs on ebay as a hobby. When I see a driver I want to try, I find it at a decent price and buy it. I purchased this driver for my son, who doesn't golf a lot, but hits the ball far. He does however hit the ball with a small slice. I also have a friend (right handed) who hits the ball well, but hits the ball with a slight left to right direction. I allowed him to use this r7 460 draw for a round of golf, and he hit every shot dead straight. He purchased it from me a week later.

I never got the chance to try it, but I already hit a draw, so I really didn't need it. But my friend loves it and recommends it to anyone needing that kind of help.

I would highly recommend asking for the serial number of any club you are considering purchasing online, especially on Ebay. Call the manufacturer with the number, and they should immediately be able to tell you if the club is legitimate or a counterfit. I had to learn it the hard way. Any club with an Asian point of origin is most likely a counterfit. Callaway Golf informed me that 90% of all counterfit clubs come out of China, and that they only have a limited number of licensed dealers that are allowed to sell new clubs online. So beware of new clubs on Ebay that don't come from a big store, especially if they seem like a great bargain.

  R7 Draw driver
Review created: 07/18/07
8 of 8 people found this review helpful.

Ignore the comments like "this club isnt anything like the other R7's" because this almost exactly like the 460, just with a draw bias. I use to hit a huge slice, but now I am actually drawing the golf ball. A draw cuts through the air and rolls much farther than fades or slices. This means a draw goes longer and is at a more penetrating trajectory. I think this club really teaches you to turn your hands through the ball, slightly closing the clubface, or leaving it square, for a draw or straight shot. This driver is also hot off the face, and has a semi-high MOI for straighter mis-hits.

  TaylorMade r7 Draw Driver
Review created: 12/06/07

I purchased a TaylorMade r7 Draw Drive 10.5 degree Stiif flex in mid November. I had played with others who had this type driver and hit it great. Also it help to correct their slice.
This club did help my problem with the slice, but I just did not like this club. The shaft was the main problem. It had a different type shaft than most of these type drivers. The kick point was med-high and I need need a low kick point.
I have played with alot of different type drivers and this driver would rate a 6.5 out of 10 rating.

Another rip off, plus happy ending
Review created: 04/18/07(updated 05/23/07)

Add my name to the list of Ebay sponsored rip offs. Bought the R7 draw, thought I was getting a good price. Seller had 100% good reviews. Shortly after I won the "buy it now" auction, Ebay e-mailed me that they had cancelled the auction. As usual, I received the Ebay drivel that I should dispute the payment with my Credit Card Company, which I did, and - Fortunately, they said that they would go after the seller, and would give me a conditional refund. Ebay did notify me later that my payment had never been claimed, and that I could withdraw the payment, which I did. If the payment had been claimed, then I would have been at the mercy of the Credit Card company.
Once again, buyer beware, if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Thankfully, I have a really good Credit Card company, amd was not out any money.
And, Agree with others, There should be a way Ebay could prevent such efforts at ripping off customers.

After this incident, bought the same club from another honest seller, and it is great. It does, indeed, solve the slice problem. Not a miracle worker, however, when I push the ball, still goes right, but STRAIGHT right, not sliced. When I hit it well, it goes farther than any other driver I have used. If you can be sure you are getting a genuine Taylormade club, I recommend it

I have gotten more distance and accuracy from this driver. I am very happy with it. I have not hit a better driver before like this one, it has the right feel the right sound and well as being a very forgiving club. it has to be hit at least a a 90 miles per hour head spead to get better results from this driver since it has a stiff shaft.

TaylorMade r7 Draw Driver Golf Club-Promises, Promises!
Review created: 03/26/07
by:
3 of 7 people found this review helpful.

The r7 Draw 460 is a nice club. But, it really doesn't do much for the average guy. I think these big headed drivers really won't make it easy to draw the ball. Once they started making driver heads over 360 cc, the workability of the ball started to diminish. Oh sure, I can slice any most any club. It's the oldest story in the market place, "promise them what they want to hear". Don't get me wrong, they make a solid, well designed product, but moving the screws around just keeps the buyer thinking, "if I just get them in the right places, my game will improve". The r7 460 driver has no screws to tinker with. It proves the best club maker in the business can't really full fill the promise.

I'd love to see an undoctored video of Iron Byron hitting the r7 draw and making the ball draw. And oh yes, at an average swing speed. WILL IT DRAW?

Good luck with your purchase of the r7 Draw or the New Super Promise. Oh, I mean the New Super Quad.

That's it, my honest review.

This is my 6th driver in 5 years. I took the driver to Florida for a week in Feb. and couldn't be happier. This was the first time I have ever been able to draw a ball off the tee. It took me a few times to stop pulling or over hooking the ball but once I did it was amazing to see the ball start down the right side and draw to the muiddle and roll out. I can't wait for spring to start the new season and beat my buddies.

  Taylormade R7 Draw driver

The club came in perfect condition just as the seller said. I've hit it and man is it long. They call it a Draw and it really works. The Taylormade Draw driver has given me 20 extra yards of controllable golf. I went from hitting a week high f=slice to a power draw. Getting the right shaft helped as well. I'm now using the REAX Regular shaft instead of a stiff shaft. The seller was very fast in delivery and would buy from him again.

This driver has an absolutely huge sweet spot. Even when you miss hit it rather poorly you're still more likely to lose distance rather than accuracy and find your ball around 200 yards down the fairway. That being said, when you hit it moderately well you're looking at 240-260 yards. Now keep in mind I am by no means even a good golfer.

I can't imagine anyone not loving this club.

TaylorMade r7 is my new best friend

Just had my first opportunity to use the TM r7 I bought on eBay. I can sum it up in 1 word - Wow. I had been using clubs from high school golf team that were 2+ decades old. Never could hit a driver; in high school I carried a 7-handicap. I was the only 1 in the league that always hit a 3-wood off the tee. Fast forward to now: with my TM r7, the first day I used it, I was hitting drives straight and long (220 - 260 yards) consistently and I only play twice a year now. All I can say is I couldn't wait until the next tee for the chance to use it again.

Love it!! I am really hitting great tee shots!! I used a demo at my golf club but the going price was $299. I refused to pay that much for a club although considering how much I love it now that I am using it consistently I might consider it!!!

Perfect for the guy unable to hit it straight or has trouble with a slight fade. RE AX shaft in this club, by FUJIKURA, is the best stock shaft we have found in an OEM club to date.

  Drop 10 strokes...
Review created: 07/12/08

Just used my R7 draw 9* for the first time today. It was exactly what I was expecting it to be. With previous drivers I have been hitting 220-230 yards and losing tons of distance because of a nasty slice. Not an "on the tree line slice", an "in the next fairway slice". Today 240-260 yards in the air, for the most part fairly straight.(70%). Even a couple of hooks. With this club now in my arsenal, and a little putting practice, I might even make it to a 20 handicap someday. I cant say that it would work for everyone, depending on your natural swing, but it works wonders for me. I'd say give it a shot.

The TaylorMade High Launch R7 460 Draw driver is the PERFECT driver for those who tend to slice and can't seem to get their drives to go high enough to get the maximum carry for their swing speed. However, with it's 15 degree loft, it's NOT a driver for those who don't have trouble getting the ball airborne.

  Great club
Review created: 03/30/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Starting hitting good drives with this the day a put it in the bag. Does promote a straight or draw shot. Not impossible to fade/slice with a bad swing (I proved that 2/14 times yesterday) but solid just about every hit. I was going to re-shaft this club as I really love my extra long bimatrx shaft I put on my old driver, but now I'm not sure as the stock shaft is really nice. I'm not a big hitter (avg drive 225 yrds) but I let my playing partner hit it and he had a couple of 275 yard drives with a nice draw (usually he hits a (250 yard fade). I might buy a second one to try with my old shaft.

This golf driver is great for those who like to slice the ball. It is a little offset and weighted to promote a draw which helps accuracy and distance.

This seller did a great job getting my club to me quickly and I love UPS Ground.
