Easiest Fairway wood to hit EVER! Hits the ball a MILE!

I coudn't hit a fairway wood to save my life, until I purchased the r5. It's VERY forgiving and easy to hit. I can hit this wood further than my driver at times, and my average driver distance is 230. You can't go wrong with this club. NO COMPLAINTS!!

What a more foregiving club. THe first time I used it WOW, I could not miss.

I have a R5 Driver and its my favorite club I ever played with, but Now I have this R5 wood and now I have two favorite clubs to play with...

Taylor Made is a Champion with the R5 Series, who needs to pay for R7 series. When R5 is truely the most foregiving clubs I have played with.

  TaylorMade r5 Dual 7 Wood
Review created: 09/08/06
by:
7 of 7 people found this review helpful.

I bought this club to match up with my r5 Dual 10.5 degree driver and 5 wood, both of which I really like. The 7 wood is equally pleasing. The two fixed weights provide forgiveness on off-center hits, and help get the ball up in the air. The bottom curve of the club face is relatively 'flat', providing more effective hitting area. Unlike some lighter hybrids, you don't "lose" the club in your backswing. It's great for a 200+ yard par 3, and approaches to a long par 4 or 5. I got the S-flex staff, right for me even though I'm not a speed-swinger. In my opinion, a very good club for an average golfer.

  Hefty price, Great Woods.

I own a set of R5 dual woods with Mas2 50 gram shaft. The woods are easy to hit and lightweight. The 7 wood is my favorite club-- the ball shoots off the face. Theyre easier to make contact than Big Bertha II, Steelhead, and Hawk Eye woods. The downside is the price, but I've found its worth it.

Club was more than rarely used. Paint wore off of toe of wood. Seller left negative feedback, stating slow pay . He never returned one email. I paid with PayPal right after winning.

I have been able to increase distance and accuracy with the R5 three wood. The only thing that is difficult to do is work a fade, the club has a natural tendency to draw. Excellent club.

TaylorMade r5 Dual Fairway Wood Golf Club

The r5 fairway woods are easy to hit and have great distance. They simply are the best fairway woods Taylormade ever manufactured. They are even better than their latest r7 fairway woods with moveable weight technology. If you can find a new r5 3,5 or 7 wood, buy it. You won't regret it.

I have been impressed with the distance I am getting with this new wood. I have been hitting the ball straighter as well. I've had a problem in the past getting the ball up and this club has done a great deal to overcome that problem.

I bought the club and am very pleased with the performance because of the specific configuration...regular flex with a soft tip. It was hard to find and I waited for several months until this specific club came along. I was also very pleased with the price. E-Bay is where it's at!

Taylor Made R5 Dual Fairway 5 wood
Review created: 12/08/07
by:
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Although an older generation of the Taylor Made family, this club was purchased primarily becasue I bought the 7 wood in early 2007 and really liked the way it looked, hit, and felt so much, and that I couldn't miss it. The 5 wood was added to get more yards out of what is literally the same club and quality that Taylor Made clubs offer. Everything in my bag is Taylor Made except a Scotty Cameron putter, and this club is as easy to hit as it looks + looks great at address. The R5 Dual's hava a slightly bigger profile than the V Steel fairway woods that I was playing, and makes it feel like there's more @$$ behind it. A great club series that I am now looking to also add the 3 wood. If you like hitting Hybrid's and the way they look > I would reccomend the V Steel series of Taylor Made metal woods, yet if you like looking at a bigger profile and something that gives you the same feeling as that first 460cc driver you ever hit and felt you couldn't miss it > The R5 Dual Fairway woods from Taylor Made will give you that feeling.

ABSOLUTLY FA-BO-LO-US, GREAT CLUBS, hit the 5 wood very solidly off the tee and very predictable, same as the 7 wood, love taking the seven wood off a short par 7 off the tee and having at it. great clubs feel very balanced and predictable.

  Golf Equipment on eBay
Review created: 06/02/06
by:

I've purchased a lot of things, but especially golf equipment on eBay. After I do my homework locally, shop for pricing locally, and maybe demo clubs, I usually end up purchasing on eBay. I can always get the best price, even including shipping. And, the quality is always "as advertised". Many times, I am purchasing something from my computer desktop that I would have to shop around town for days to find, if at all. Shopping eBay is the way to go!

  Very nice club

I really enjoy TaylorMade woods in general. They hit straight, are nicely weighted, and allow for a consistent game. This particular club was very easy to adjust to. I really like the way the ball takes off the club on impact. I found no problems with hitting the ball exactly where I wanted to.

I decided to try this seller because he had, by far, the best price for a Taylor Made head cover that I had found. the cover came in amazing condition for being used, and in fast period of time. Would highly recommend this seller to everyone.

The seller has had problems coming up with the item listed for sale. I paid for it two weeks ago, they contacted UPS and got the shipping set up, however they have not shipped it. They said they had problems and would resolve, that was a week ago. Still not response from them.

This club is very easy to hit and delivers consistent yardage. The club I got was well used but also taken good care of so there are the usual scuff's and marks but it is a very solid club.

  Best of the best

I bought these clubs after I purchased a driver like them. As a senior I am always looking for ways to improve my game. These fairway woods have not only added extra length to my game they have helped me feel like no shot is difficult. I can work them in any direction and have total confidence in them. I am on the hunt for a 9 wood to match my set. If anyone has one email me at navydivere6@att.net, thanks

great club easy to hit off the fairways.
Review created: 10/10/09

For the average golfer, it is much easier to hit this wood and get some air. I was struggeling with consistency when hitting my hybrids. This club is doing the trick.
