Purchased both the #3(19*)& #4 (22*)Rescue Mid Hybrid fairway woods. Great clubs. Found that the #3 Rescue is hits longer than any 3 iron it is supposed to replace. The distance of the #3 Rescue is compareable to a #2 iron or a #5 fairway wood. The same applies to the #4 Rescue which I am using to replace my 3 iron. I don't have the #3 Rescue in my bag, using my #5 fairway wood instead. It is intersting to note that the Cleveland Halo Hybrids woods #4 is 25* and their #3 is 22* which seems to correspond with my experience in what degree of a hybrid wood replaces what iron. The hybrid clubs should give you a more consistency than your long irons. They are great out of the rough. The TaylorMade rescue have a tendency to draw some times more that you may want. Great for those who tend to fade their shots. Would have given a rating of 5 if the "iron replacement number" was more accurate.
4/10/07: This a update on the above. I found that the tendency to draw the ball grow more and more with these clubs. They are now in "retirement" and I have replaced them with the four iron from my current set of irons (2003 Big Bertha) and a Big Bertha nine wood. I would think that if you have a problem slicing the ball that these clubs would be the club(s)for you.
