  Great Set of Irons

I upgraded to these irons last year from Tommy Armour 845's and I absolutely love the Taylor Made RAC LT set. They have an amazing feel and a sleek look when you stand over the ball. They give me the confidence I used to have as a younger player. I have the steel shafts which give me the right amount of flex for my swing speed.

As someone who used to play a whole bunch of golf when I was younger, its nice to look down and see something that resembles a blade but with the forgiveness of a forged iron (something I need now that I have three kids).

  I love these irons!

I upgraded to the TM RAC LTs nearly three years ago (purchased on ebay) and immediately noticed a one club improvement in length. They have a huge sweet spot which gives immediate feedback when I hit the club well but still allows me to shape shots effectively. They have minimal offset and give a clean appearance at address, allowing for better aim. I recommend these irons to everybody I know.

The RAC LT's may be Taylormades best irons!

I have been playing the RAC CB's for several years. A buddy bought the RAC LT's by mistake thinking that he was buying the CB's. Any way I tried them and liked them better than mine. They are cast not forged but I don't notice any difference in feel. The LT stands for Low Trajectory. I don't notice any real difference in the ball flight. I think the reason I like them better is that the are so forgiving. I carry a 5 handicap index and like the look of the blade style iron at address with the thin topline. The sole is a little wider so I don't hit as many fat shots. The irons don't have much offset either. I bought my set here on Ebay in like new condition for a little ver $200. I think this set is as good as anything out there for the mid to lw handicap golfer.

  Excellent for average players

Just got LT2 set with steel stiff shafts. (Labeled 110g)
The first thing I noticed was distance imrpovement. It goes 1-1.5 clubs longer than my other set, MP33 and it is very very forgiving. The look from above is good too.
Standard shafts are a little too soft to look for pin-pint accuracy like DG shafts does. (I think it is Dynalite. I reccomend hitting balls before decide to buy if you care a lot about shafts. You may want to re-shaft it later if your swing speed is fast)
All in all, my conclusion, after having this set, is average players like me should benefit a lot from high tech clubs like these irons with longer distance and forgiveness. I can relax at the address and feel easy!!
Hope it helps those who think about trying out new tech easy-to-use irons.

These irons are wonderful. They are so soft yet still provide a high loft and great distance. I have played with these clubs since I started golfing 2 years ago. I have a handicap of 4, golf over 100 rounds a year and I still play these. The new LT's are nice, but the only real difference I have seen is the feel and they are smoother.

Just bought a set of these for my brother. He can't believe how easy they are to hit. He is a 13 handicap and had 845's (like another reviewer) and liked them - these he loves. I am a 3 handicap and tried them. I am really impressed! I play the TPs and would use these anytime -Great buy!

Why did I sell my first set?
Review created: 05/16/08

This is my second time owning a set of RAC LT's. Everything Taylormade makes is easier to hit than other club makers. They really concentrate on the way it feels and the way it looks at address. Taylormade RAC LT clubs give me the workability associated with blades and the forgiveness of cavity back. This set will stay in my bag, still don't know why I sold my first set. I think was because of the confidence they gave me the first time, I began to think it was me being a better golfer, I was wrong. Anyone looking for a used set of Callaway X Forged or a set of Ping blades, they are both for sale......

  Buy Them If You Can

I've lost count of the different sets of irons that I have hit, but these are one of the best. They look and feel very similar to the RAC TP forged irons, but are a little more forgiving. The LT stands for low trajectory, but I really haven't noticed that much of a trajectory difference between these and my Hogan Edge irons. What I have noticed is more distance, more spin on my approach shots, and much more forgiveness. These sets are a little harder to find than some of the other Taylor Made irons (RAC OS, R7's, etc.), so if you have a chance to get a set, I highly recommend them.

In golf you have to try the product 1st at a pro shop with a driving range !!! I then checked a website that rated the club I was trying to get other opinions of other people who bought the same club .(likes and dislikes ) These irons worked for me because when it hit it on the toe or heel I didn't lose as much distance and direction as my old clubs I think because of 1) the shaft is slightly lighter and 2) the cartridge in the head helped in off center hits . Once you determine which club you want then check out which shaft is appropiate for you and hit the same club with different shafts !!! Last be patient in bidding for the product, because it took several tries for me to get the winning bid !!! Gook luck !!! Wayne

I think they are very forgiving for a below average golfer like myself. Prior to this set of irons, I used fairway woods for any shot over 125 yards. My confidence has been restored.

Liked them but kept my old set

These clubs felt decent but not as good as my Taylor Made 300 forged irons. They are supposed to combine cavity back forgiveness with blade feel. I think they do a decent job but lean more toward the cavity back variety. I wouldn't consider them a 'player's club' but I'm sure there are a lot of people who will enjoy the extra forgiveness

this was my first purchase on ebay. i was so excited to get the irons at a "decent" price. it wasn't a good buy. one of the shafts were bent, cost me $40 to get repaired. i contacted the seller who said his friend who he sold the clubs for would pay for half. six wks later, no check. several of the clubs were missing the"lt" logo on the backside of club. overall, very disapointed. rb

  Outstanding Irons

The feel of the ball coming off the head is very clean and forgiving, the only problem is that I am not ready for graphite shafts. I thought I might be but I was wrong. I am used to more of a boring trajectory rather then a floater. The club hits the ball very straight, bites even some of the hardest greens without chewing up my titleist.

This was a very accurate description of the RAC irons. I purchased them because they were 2 degrees flat lie, which is what I play. The shaft was a regular flex shaft which I needed.

I bought my set two years ago on Ebay. I bought them because none of my friends had them. I didn't want what they had. But, I'm glad I bought them because I drive through the ball with very little effort. I feel really comfortable swinging them & I definitely recommend them.

  Great Set of Clubs
Review created: 11/02/09

This is the best set of clubs that I have used. I am a high handicap player, but have gone through a few "cheap" entry level clubs. These clubs have taken an average of 8 strokes off my rounds off of my home course score in the 7 rounds I have played since the purchase. Needless to say I am very happy about my purchase

RAC LT irons are the greatest
Review created: 09/08/09

I purchased a new set of RAC OS irons several years ago. My game improved but as most amateur golfers, I felt a new set of irons would make my game even better. I have since been fitted, and have played Titleist, Adams, and Ping irons. I didn't improve and frankly my game weakened. I decided to look for a set of RAC OS. I was outbid on three sets before deciding to take a chance on the LTs. What can I say. My first three rounds averaged 83. Followed by an 82, 79, and this past weekend, my all time best....72. Need I say more. These irons are the greatest.
