Many call it the "Magic Club"

This is a great club. But I hate this club.
As a golf purist, *it pains me greatly* to see someone step up to the ball, address the ball with the worst posture possible, proceed to move every body part in the wrong direction, and then somehow get contact and watch the ball fly anywhere near my ball, which is lying 250-280 out in the middle of the fairway.
I don't know how TaylorMade did it, but they've created a club that makes bad golfers decent. And for ~$150 on eBay, it's worth every penny. My buddies call it the "magic club" because they've never hit like this before. And, their next shots from the fairway with their non-TaylorMade 580 driver doesn't go anywhere. Heh.
On the plus side, bad golfers don't banana their balls into the trees nearly as often so it speeds the round up. So I suppose there is an upside.
TaylorMade says this about this club:
TaylorMade's® R580 XD 440cc driver boasts a bigger head size and longer, deeper clubface, resulting in a large Moment of Inertia for greater forgiveness. A new sole plate design offers a deeper Center of Gravity for improved launch conditions, and a substantial amount of clubface-hitting area above the COG allows you to hit more shots that achieve a high launch angle and low spin rate-the optimum combination for maximum distance.
This mumbo jumbo can be summed up as "The Magic Club: You can still hit the ball even if you don't have a real golf swing".
