I bought a new one after trying my brother in law's several times. His driver just booms it. Mine was a dud on the range and on the course. I used it for nine holes, put it back in the bag and returned it the next day. Felt like I was hitting a sponge.
The pro at the local golf shop later told me that they occasionally get a bad one. Could be a manufacturing defect, although counterfeit is not out of the question. I suppose I should have tried another one, but now I'm' leary. If you buy one sight unseen (on line), check for a serial number and try it out immediately.
