This non TP head atttached to a TP shaft is unreal.
Review created: 03/21/08

I like the forgivness and consistancy of the larger burner fairway head. (15) However the TP REAX 65 gram stiff shaft that was added to this club makes all the difference in the world as it increases power at delivery, with no whip or torque that one finds in the standard non TP REAX 50 gm shaft.
This was a match made in heaven and I would encourage any good golfer (not just low hanicappers" to try matching these two components together. KaBoom.

Greendog.

Great club I'm hitting the ball longer and straighter, would recommend this club to all levels for play. I also have the matching 5 wood and driver 10.5 degree loft and my feelings on these are the same.

I have only played a handful of games, so I can use any help there is out there. I purchased the Taylormade burner driver and fairway woods and I was stunned by the results. I am not joking either! My distances by far out reached my golden bear clubs (my starter set). It was a big step in the right direction for me, coming from a novice golfer, I woud recommend them to anyone. I love them!!!!

Club arrived in 2 days. It was listed as used with light use, in fact, it looks brand new. It is in beautiful condition. I would recommend this seller to anyone based on the quality and the responsiveness of the seller. In short, a truly great EBAYER+++++

  Excellent Feel and Distance

I am a single digit handicapper and an ebay junkie. I have tried alot of fairway woods, ie..Callaway, Cobra, Nike, Cleveland, Ping and Titleist. I have not found a club that provides the all-around playability that I get from the TM Burner with the re-ax shaft by Fujikura. This combination when struck anywhere near the sweet spot delivers, sound, feel, and ball speed that suits my swing that the aforementioned brands do not. The r7 steel fairway wood is a close second but lacks the feel of the burner. TaylorMade Burners rule the fairways in my humble opinion. Give them a try!

  TaylorMade Burner 3 wood - 15 deg - REAX 50 stiff shaft
Review created: 03/29/08(updated 03/29/08)

Nice sound at impact, not the loud clink like some of the newer clubs. If you hit it with a slight draw as designed, distance is just as good as the Callaway X hot or hyper 3 woods. It's a club shorter but much more forgiving on miss hits. Bad shots still stay in play, but also another club shorter. This club is easier to hit off the fairway than the Callaway X woods. I've tried a couple of the Callaways and the TM was the best on the fairway. I'm giving up the extra 10 - 15 yards that Callaway had to offer, but I feel like this club allows a mid handicapper to stay in play all day long.

This is the longest 3 wood, I have ever hit....don't know if it is the 50 gram (very lite) shaft or the technogoly in the head. But, it is long.

I have bought golf equipment entirely from ebay. I shop around in sports stores and online, and I always find what I am looking for on Ebay. I seem to find better prices and don't have the hassle of looking .

It is a great club I already had the driver so this was a necessity ... everyone that tries it wants one so this is good for the club review! I also purchased a 6 trouble club and love that as well.

As a first year golfer, I bought the #7 FW to replace my #4 Iron based on my good experience with TaylorMade Burner #3 and #5 FW. I am very happy with it. I would suggest this for the beginning golfers who might be struggling with the miss-hits on the long irons.

I was in the market to buy some current technology for fairway woods. I was already using the Taylor Made R7 driver which I enjoy hitting. I figured the fairway woods would perform the same. (Golf Digest rated this club good) I am not disappointed with the 3 and 5 woods and have found I hit the ball well with this club (straight when I want to and draw/fade when I need to). Very forgiving and nice weight to the clubs. I play +/-6 times a year for charity and buddy outings and found used clubs with current technology work fine for me. The only recommendation I would make is to go ahead with the Rflex shaft or something like that for the woods just so you don't have to swing as fast to generate the same distance. If you play a lot (or a good/average 80-100 golfer) I doubt the difference in steel shaft and graphite make that big of difference. No vibration or bad feelings with this club and would highly recommend to anyone who has a good game and needs the extra club for the long holes. The design on the top of the head is a little distracting so if you have a hard time keeping your eye on the ball you may consider a different wood with a solid color head.

Any new fairway woods with good reviews will play well if you have a good swing so go out and hit those balls and remember it never rains on a golf course!

I love the TM Burner line. I just added the fairway woods into the bag to match the Burner driver which I also love. I'm at times a chunker (hit it fat) with my fairway woods. Not as much with these. The clubhead looks ackwardly long at address but I think somehow that has shallowed out my swing plane. I'm clipping these things really nice now and would recommend this club to others. It feels solid at impact and the ball just explodes off the face. Very happy with the distance and it goes straighter than any other fairway wood I've hit.

3 wood with control and distance
Review created: 07/16/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Overall I am very impressed with the club. I switch from stiff to regular shaft to establish a slower swing, more control and high ball flight. I got all three in this club. I gain control and did not get up any distance. Club is great off the grass and works good of the tee on shorter par 4's. Overall it's one of the best three woods I have ecery played with. Currently I am a 9.6 USGA Handicap.

TaylorMade Burner Fairway Woods are really long.
Review created: 04/18/08
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The easiest fairway wood(s) I've ever hit! I own both the 3 and 5 woods. They are the straightest and longest I've ever hit. I've picked up 10 - 15 yards of length with each of the clubs. I hit the 3 wood off the tee on short par 4s and can be confident that I will be in the short grass. Recently on a long par 4 I hit the 5 wood from about 195 yards out to 18 inches from the pin and made birdie for the first time ever on the 10th at Kahite. The club sets up well and gives great feedback on well struck balls. You can't go wrong with these fairway woods!

  TaylorMade Burner Golf Club
Review created: 11/07/09

I love the way the club sets on the ground and the thin head makes it easier for hitting on very tight lies. I can't seem to hit this club without fading or slicing the shot, but I'll figure that out I hope soon. I will be super pleased just as soon as my pro (next spring) can work with me and show me what I'm doing wrong causing my problem, but in the mean time I'll work on the problem myself. I'm sure it's my swing and nothing to do with the club. I have a rather new set of burner irons and I hit them perfectly..well, most of the time.

This Taylormade Burner steel 3 wood is the easiest 3 wood I ever hit. I am a 8 handicapper using a stiff graphite shaft in this club. With a shallow face, the ball goes high, straight and long. I recommend this club for all handicappers.
